Carlisle Utd. Going places. As I recall with my fading memory, they beat Liverpool on the opening day of their only Division 1 season and topped the league for a week or two.

Plus Shanks played for and managed them.

I've just started my 01-02 game at work with the mighty Colchester United. I have a transfer war chest of £500k. I've tried signing Tonton Zola Moluko but he rejected a move to Colchester (I think he has a problem with Essex) but I have had an offer accepted (contract pending) for former Liverpool defender David Burrows (now 32 years young) for a bargin £100k

My league season has started will with 2 wins and a draw (I can't rememebr the wins but the draw was against our old conference rivals Wycombe Wonderers). I have also just beaten Wigan Athletic in the 1st round of the league cup but I have drawn Reading away in the next round (uh oh). If I can scrape a win against them then I'm hoping for a tie against one of the big boys in round 3

i'll keep everyone posted as my career goes on

Basicallly it looks like this. I chose Champ Manager as the programme that created it, but that obviously not right. Any ideas?

the patch does background updates for stability (although it does remove the greatest in game bug in the world - the stadium expansion bug). you need to get the latest database next

    Nothing.

When i chose the file to open it (champ manager), it clearly isnt the right one. Maybe i selected the short cut to opening the games or something. Still no updates. The problem still is what programme created it. Help!

hmm... I'm confused, The way I did it was to open the iso file with magic iso, extracted the files in to a folder on the hard drive, installed the game from the setup file, cracked the .exe file with a replacement from gamecopyworld (this stops the no disk prompt) and it worked tickity boo

If I remember correctly champman0102 had exact instructions on installing the game followed by the patch and database so I'd just check that out and see if you're doing anything wrong, or uninstall and start again with said instructions.

Just updated my own database last night, awesome!

I'm following the instructions exact now. Have got magicdisk, mounted the image- game works without a disk. Just downloading the 242 patch now. I bet i'm going to have the same problem with the file though. We'll see.

That's an MP3 file, not an exe. Might be the wrong file.

Did you get the update from champman0102? If the game is working then the updates should work too. I updated mine with the "Feb 2011 ODB" database a couple of days ago and it was fine. Can you even view the contents of the file? If you can, you could just copy & paste the files into the data folder?

That was just an image of google images to show what i was looking at, not that exact file.

    King

I'v downloaded the update as per Bozz' link on the previous page. I'v downloaded it, extracted it but the files are just blank sheets. Has the names, but my computer doesnt recognise the individual files. I'v tried to copy then indo the existing game data folder, and it says i havent replaced the files, but there is nothing new. I'm stuck for ideas.

I've just had some funny looks in my office. I'm playing CM while doing my work and I've been playing for a whle now and i've managed to get Cambridge united from the conference to the Div. 2 I'm on an amazing FA Cup run this season and I drew Arsenal in the semi finals. playing the game I was 3-0 down after 25 mins. I then scored just before half time, came out for the second hald and scored 3 more goals!! my second div. Cambridge utd are in the FA Cup final against chelsea who are second in the prem... Cambridge United in europe!!! I need to somehow bring in some freebies before next season to hopefully last longer then 1 round
