The Portuguese defender had been linked with a move to QPR during the summer transfer window but remained at Real Madrid. âI thought he wanted out of Madrid, he is a tremendous player - especially for me, as I have had him at three clubs,â he said. âWith his injury last season and with Pepe and Ramos forming a partnership which can be the best in the world, he got a little delayed. âBut he decided to stay in Madrid, for me it is not a problem, he could be a solution but he knows his chances could be restricted.â
He wouldnt need suntan lotion in Madrid in the Winter at least. It is at an altitude of 2,000 metres and freezing cold.
jajajajaja not quite 2km Finglas - it´s 655 m but it is cold in the winter and normally still very sunny, but we definitely don´t need to wear spacesuits!!!
Oh sorry, it must be 2,000 feet then. 655 metres = 2148 feet. I believe it is the highest capital in Europe? Thats a typical pub quiz question.
mmmmmm... our Andorran friends won´t have that, I think the capital of Andorra (whatever it is) is over 1000m (3350ft). I have just got back from a long weekend in the northwest of Spain (Sanabria) - absolutely beautiful very reminicent of Ireland/Scotland - all granite and heather!!!!.....oh yeh! and cider!!! (sidra) fabulous place well worth a visit....just next door to Portugal too!!!
I can't get much right on this thread!!! Maybe the question was, what is the highest capital in the EU? As far as I know, Andorra is not in the EU. Either way, it's bloody cold there in Winter and not a place for suntanning.
You weren't't being pedantic at all Madrid. I made a couple of factually incorrect statements. Thanks for correcting me.
I lived in Andorra for a year btw..Soldeu was my home and the capital is Andorra la Vela...highest in Europe... Long time ago when i was a ski instructor.....yes honestly !!
