The threats were real apparently. The blogger was warned about things happening t his father's business and to him personally like being attacked at his home etc.

Attacking your own fans... Where will this end?

There must be a law against this kind of threatening behaviour. Is this a football club we are talking about or the mafia?

Seems like Jen Chang fancies himself as a bit of a Jackie Chan.

    ...Sorry that was awful!

Crazy story though. Pretty sad you've brought it up, but it is a crazy story.

You are right it is crazy.
To threaten a guy with harm to him and his family just for blogging about the club is out of ths scale. You just wonder what will have happened if that guy had not stopped tweeting. To use the massive resources of the club against the individual is incredible...

This. The Liverpool PR guy is a total imbecile, but he hardly represents the entire the club. As for Utd being so petty, didn't we sue a guy for leaking our list of sponsors and corporate box holders? When a business thinks its operations are under threat it will usually go to pretty extreme lengths to try to protect itself.

The difference being leaking private and personal company information is grounds for suing someone.

Threatening some random fan who merely happens to be right a lot of the time on his made up blog is totally pathetic. Totally over the top and heavy handed response. I thought this guy was brought in because LFC's media handling was such a shambles. Great job he's doing.

After the shambles with Suarez where Dalglish was given free rein (and he took without realising it the reputation of the scousers to the gutter), the club has swung the opposite direction. It now wants to control everything.

I reckon staff at LFC are acting like bellends on purpose now.

Anything to distract people/media from the fact they've been in relegation form for a year now.

Not sure what you mean by that?

Agree with you there, but all the evidence indicates that this Chang bloke was operating completely of his own accord, and in fact embezzling from Liverpool's charity fund to try and track 'Jenkins' down. So perhaps the headline should be "Liverpool hire yet another ****wit who has no idea what he is doing?" Surprised that's not the headline Christian went with in the first place to be honest, with 'buffoon' instead of ****wit of course :)

Theres a difference between some random guy on the internet speculating about transfers and reposting information available on forums and someone leaking confidential club information.
