It sounds like Portsmouth's takeover trials are coming to an end. The Football League has declined to approve Balram Chainrai's bid. Now Pompey's administrators (the accountants PKF) are expected to resume discussions next week with the Pompey Supporters Trust, over the fans proposal to take the club over. I feel we can all wish them luck - and that this long-running farce is near an end. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19934524
It is a shame that a club with so much history and believe it or not they have quite a bit, should come to this. Lesser clubs of the past have past away, Bradford P.A. Accrington Stanley but were all there at the beginning or near enough to what we now know as our Premier, Championship leagues, I for one wish them well, to say the obvious, we have been there, got the T shirt etc etc.
