Sounds like Pompey supporters have got their wish for a fan owned club. http://m.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/12/portsmouth-balram-chainrai?cat=football&type=article
This will be brilliant... Seen a lot of them spouting off on Twitter about how they are now done and sorted. Pretty sure the business model is based on borrowing money, and that hasn't worked previously... They don't have the finances and it'll be even more painful for the fans when they realise even they can't look after the club...
It's not done till it's done. Yeah we could ground share with Brighton, and he'd be stuck with a useless stadium that couldn't be used for anything other than sport. Additionally, the whole basis of this debenture could be challenged by the administrators....
You should get a decent crowd today Lapras. No PL or Internationals to divert attention. Nice weather etc. Pity it's only Crewe!
Nabil Hassan: 'Just an add to the #pompey story, administrators dealing with the sale of land around Fratton Park tell me a deal may be announced next week'
If its Chainrai, he will asset strip. If its the PST, then it'll be limited money for the foreseeable future and unless more investment came in it would be the same situation
I can't go though because I'm pre-emptively boycotting Fratton Park. My logic is, even if Chainrai doesn't own the club now, if he takes over then he'll acquire all the club's assets including the club bank account which will include money from ticket sales up until that point which would, if I was to buy a ticket, include my money. And no way am I letting that leach take my money.
The Spanish Inquisition couldn't have thought of a better form of torture. What on earth did Pompey fans do in a past life to deserve this? (rhetorical question...no suggestions required).
