I can't for the life of me see why welbeck is anywhere near our national squad! He was s**t in the euros, he can't hold the ball up, shoot on target or go past anyone. He can't even get into his club side. Even if he scores a hat trick and wins another 5 penalties I still want him out, or we'll never win f**k all....
ITVs 'panel of all the idiots' have spent most of the pre match and half time chat (won't dignify it with 'analysis') describing San Marino as 'desperate', arguing that they shouldn't be allowed in the competition etc in a completely disrespectful way. Fact is they are part timers, well organized and who can blame them for defending in numbers, playing against players who earn more in a week than most of them do in a year or more. Of course it is England who look desperate, nobody has the guts to beat a player 1 on 1, take responsibility. They will score more as fitness begins to tell, but its good to remember that the giants of Montenegro put six past San Marino and I bet their commentators did not slag them off for being semi professionals. And now we have Andy Carroll, running like an effete stegosaurus. Just look at him.
Been watching Switz - Norway 1 -1 , a surprisingly very good even game. Best I've seen of Norway in a very long time. Grattis Norway! - If Daniel Braaten played like that every week he'd be great to have at Loftus Road. So since that game finished 10 minutes ago and I switched channel to the England game, I have seen them go from 2-0 to 5-0, not so bad that!
5-0!! I can see both sides of this argument. San Marino should really play qualifiers to get into the group stage imo. I don't blame them for defending in numbers...BUT, they could at least try to get in our box when they have a free kick. Waste of time really!!
