Gareth Bale does an incredible strike. 2-1 Wales. I haven't seen it. I'm just quoting BBC Sport. Does this mean he's walked off at an awkward moment..?
It's an apt saying, because when you come up against a team this poor, they just pack the defense. It has nothing to do with their footballing ability, it's just that there are so many bodies in the way. Any team would struggle as we have against this game plan, but fortunately the defenders eventually tire.
Don't spoil it by explanation, Joe. We know you're bright, because you keep reminding us. But please, let the clichéd mystery go.
"His all-round play has been decent" Jesus, what game has he been watching? Welbeck has been awful. Chambo MotM for me.
Is it mean to wish someone would just kick Carroll...not too badly...just keep him out for 8 days or so
Anyone wondering about Bale's second. Poor work from Charlie Adam and Scotland. Bale picked it up on edge of semi circle in Scotland's half and ran with the ball until about 25 yards from goal slightly to the left of level with the left goalpost. Hit it in the top corner across the keeper top right. Only Adam pressurized him, no one else was even near and that wasn't good enough as he got no challenge in. Great strike still keeper had no chance At 1-0 Scotland should have been awarded a goal to go 2-0 up. Linesman flagged for ball going out of play from a cross (which it didn't), Fletcher scored the header. Along with the Bale dive to take the score to 1-1 Scotland can feel very hard done by.
Ha, I had to pop out in my car when it was 2-0, it's parked up the road and when I turned my radio on I got "would you believe it, an incredible turnaround, the underdogs have done it" etc, OMG have San Marino got one? Have they equalised? No, I've put the Wales game on.
