ill give you sess but its already been confirmed that campbell is going to be missing for a large part of next season so we can discount him for starters. As for Lynch and Noble can they make the step up? IMO if Bruce thought they were ready they would have played by now given our injury situation. So for me we only have Gyan we can count as a senior striker for next season

Vaughan? I thought we were shopping at harrods and now we're linked to a Blackpool free transfer? I'm not saying he's an bad player, but when Bruce joined and talked of 5 year plans, I didn't envisage by years 2-3, we would have a relegation scare and still be rattling around for freebies, from relegated teams. Definately not part of my 5 year plan. It sounds to me, we're ripping up the last 2 years and perhaps changing it to a 7 year plan...

I was impressed with Muntari as a left winger on saturday when he came on. It would be good to play him there in the last 4 games to see if he could solve that problem cheaper than Enzog. I would also like to have a look at Noble for at least 45mins in all of the remaining games. Only then can a decition be made on the number of strikers we need to sign

    We could do with:

    In:

    LB - Taiwo? - Free
    CB - Samba £3/4mil
    Onuoha/Hutton - £6mil
    Elmo - £2.5
Muntari (if he has a good few games before the end of the season) £6/7 mil
LW - N'Zogbia - £10mil (although Wigan going down would lower that)
ST - Doyle - £5mil (same as above if Wolves went down)
ST - Foreign goal machine -

    Out:

    Angeleri
    Nos
    Kilgallon
Mensah - outstanding defender but he just can't stay fit for a season unfortunately :(
Welbeck - going to be top class striker but I doubt Fergie would let him leave, permanent or loan :(
Riveros - I would love to see him get a chance and turn his SAFC career around but Bruce apparently doesn't think the same. Would not be a big loss

I'd already discounted Campbell Ron. I'm thinking that Noble and Lynch will be the backups to the 4 main strikers that SB will have to have in place come the start of the new season. They would be Asa, Sess, ???? and ????. It's the cost that I'm thinking of, because we all know that they are the most expensive players to buy. We have to bring in a couple of left sided players and a CB at the very least. Bank rolling that lot is going to be difficult, unless Ellis Short says "**** it!, lets go for it. Here's £100m Steve. Go and build me a winning team" :)

    LB Warnock or Figroll
Strikers. Quiet a few mentioned in the last few days. I wouldnt mind seeing Cisse back.

Anelka could be a good option to

Not for me. He had electric pace and a powerful shot but was a shocking team player. We need somebody who can bring out the best in Gyan and Cisse wouldn't do that. I reckon we should look towards the Bundesliga. A few top strikers in there and playing in a league which is probably closer matched to ours in terms of style ahead of the spanish and italian leagues.

Whats this Jay Boothroyd like? "Sunderland manager Steve Bruce has moved into pole position in the race to land Cardiff striker Jay Boothroyd on a free transfer at the end of the season." from the Daily Mirror

plays for the powerhouse of lillestrom, and is nigerian,

just what we need, a player no one has heard of, and another african to leave us in jan for the acn.

Just looked up his record 21 goals and 4 assists in 29 games. I know its a poor leauge, but that aint a bad return. Plus he is only 21.

Will do. I certainly don't mind taking a few punt's, as long as we bring proven quality in aswell.

We have the same ideas Drunken. This guy is very young too, so there's plenty of scope for improvement. What do you think about the Defoe rumour? If true, it would put a smile on my face!
