This is a VERY important game for England. I have stated my view on the England international board. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/173541-England-s-VERY-IMPORTANT-game-with-San-Marino
HTML: My prediction, England will win maybe score a good number of goals which is the result we want. However, I also think that theres a good chance that if we get more than three goals the team discipline will fade away and instead of any structure and build up to our play we'll just get a selection of showboating individuals (e.g. Welbeck, Lampard, Cleverly etc.) going for the spectacular potshots on goal - not a luxury I think we can afford against better teams.
Not had many hits Devon! Can't see double figures if we go a few up he'll bring on subs which will disrupt the flow. Can see 6 or 7 tops.
The World Cup? Since it expanded from 16 to 24 to 32 finalists, the tournament has sacrificed quality for quantity and become a huge yawn fest! Watching paint is much more exciting by comparison!!
Apparently there's a match on tomorrow night so thought we needed somewhere to discuss it. A team of has-beens, cheaters, racists, overhyped children and Liverpool related players (Hodgeson) versus San Marino. Thoughts? Score Prediction: 6-0
4-1? Are you crazy? We're not playing a crap team like Moldova here, we are playing one of the worst international teams in the world, a team made out of postmen, teachers, dentists etc-amateurs. I'm going for 8-0, I would like us to reach double figures and win 15-0 that would be great, but I can't see us doing that as San Marino are a class side. I wonder if I lived in San Marino for a few years I'd be able to play for them. I might try that one day . Racists?
I don't have a go mate. Just heard they're apparently the lowest ranked team. Score prediction changing
Only jesting RLGB I meant unnecessary because of my world cup qualifiers thread Truth is I don't think many of us can get excited about tonights game. Bring on West Ham!
Biggest week for the Canadian men's team in...god only knows how many years, really. Beat Cuba and hope for a Panama win, and a draw against Honduras would see them to the Hexagonal round for the first time in an eternity. Expecting them instead to lose 1-0, and follow that up by getting utterly thrashed in the group finale. It's the Canadian way.
Not much more, if at all. Toronto FC has a moderately-sized but very passionate fanbase, despite being utter trash, but the national team has been so abysmal for so long that they tend to get little attention, save for the occasional run in the Gold Cup. The comparative more-successful women's team probably gets more play, though that could change in the men emerge from this week with a realistic shot of making the World Cup. Might even be able to convince some of the country's better players to commit to the team!
