players should accept the managers laws on how he wants to run the club regardless whether they agree or not....end of story they will just have to get on with it or request a transfer, I dont care what they do they are not the manager...
Dai, I do agree 100% with what you say. No player is bigger than the club, I don't care WHO they are.
There is alot of nonsense flying around that could have been wiped out today once and for all! monk releasing a statement and Ash being qouted would have given the fans the answers they wanted to hear. A point alot of people seem to have missed is all this Twitter stuff! how come we constantly hear all kinds of crap from the players including Ash williams, on twatter 24/7 but as soon as a bit of proper info wouldnt go amiss the players are as quiet as fook !! They love having followers, they love being big time but when it comes to a bit of reasurement towards the fans of the club they say nothing ! tells you alot about the personalities of modern day footballers, only out for themselves and only enjoy self publicity when it works to their advantage...im not suprised though
Jeez..some of you guys are on a roll. Did you say you were Swansea fans? Hard to tell sometimes. I know for a fact from a reliable sauce that the players have decided to say "no comments" regarding the baseless and untrue rumours about unrest in the team.
And some of them should be careful here, they will lose their legend status very easily if they are deemed to be ****ing about with the clubs potential survival and £60-70m quid !! Its why i think Monks statement has a whiff of Huw going ..."ffs gary, you better get a statement sorted asap and stop this bollocks from getting any further before you twatting players undo all the good work of the last 8yrs!! now get typing before your ****in sacked you muppett"
Default There is alot of nonsense flying around that could have been wiped out today once and for all! monk releasing a statement and Ash being qouted would have given the fans the answers they wanted to hear. agree but they cant say anything without the clubs say so.......No comment is all they can say.....
rightly or wrongly about laudrup he is the boss. I have said more than once that im not sure about him as i have known about concerns of two or three players for quite some time and i have mentioned that fact,,,I hinted about a week ago that if its not broke then don't change things and just add things that may improve things on the pitch....I know he was a great player but he seems unapproachable to the players i feel like our past managers were...yes he will talk to the fans and i have even met him myself down the liberty but i dont know he is not one to mix it with people like martinez or brendan did...Now Im not saying his method is right or wrong but give me martinez and brendans attitude as my own personal opinion. ...I just think that jinks appointed him and everyone at the club including the fans should respect his way of doing things and get on with it....If i was getting the wages some of the top earners was getting then i would obey Hitler if he was the manager....
Dai- Spot on there! i have heard the exactly the same thing from a completely different (hp)sauce today( yes im back in swansea in the middle of monsoon season!!) been a few long term grumbles from some senior players who have been honestly told they wont figure much in the first team plans. Laudrup is not gonna rub the players up and down like brenden did,he isnt going to rub their bellies and read them bed time stories like brenden did!(this is definatly fact!,janet and john was the most popular book by all accounts) but for 20k a week they hould start to act like ****in grown-ups and realise that not everyone is going to tell them they are amazing!! Maybe some of our boys are not mentally tough enough to go to the next level? maybe they feel inferior when laudrup can probably still do things with a ball they cant? maybe he deflates a few ego's because he got to a level some could only ever dream about! We all seen rodgers on that david brent type show about Liverpool, we all seen how he likes to touch up the players and build them up,not everyone has got a touchy feely method, the players have experienced enough by now to realise this...surely?? Some of the players also need to remember where BR is now and how fast he left them when he had a chance elsewhere, he went f from rubbing their bellies and giving buckets of man love to rubbing stevie g's belly and whispering sweet nothings in liverpool players ears!! just because ML doesnt do the same doesnt make him worse !!
Ash is a twat. There's no problem with him saying that the rumours are rubbish - next question please... It would have taken 5 seconds to deal with it. All he has done is make people speculate more. If he ended up leaving I wouldn't cry too many tears. I remember several poor performances last season that made me realise he's not all that - and his perfomances this season have only strengthened my opinion that he's a decent defender when on form but nothing more.
Stereo- That is a strong view fair play, i always thought od Ash as the less dominent one at the back, he always used to play far better when monk was around, gave him the freedom to just play and defend. Im not sure how good he is at prem level, im quite sure he knew his work load was gonna double when Laudrup decided to play a bit more open and im guessing he didnt like that idea much !! I tend to agree with you as to why he couldnt just answer the question, far easier to move on after saying" the manager is doing fine,it takes time to mould the new players into our system etc, etc" I get the feeling with ash that sometimes he likes to have a bit to say or be centre of attention, his contract offer is a good example, i dont think he has any intention of signing (hope im wrong) but seems he likes the drama sometimes..just my thoughts, i do of course think he is decent at this level but not a top 6 player at all.
Norway, maybe that's the issue he's having with Caulker gone - he needs more strength around him to focus on his job. Hopefully him and Chico will gel a bit more in the next few games. I do have my doubts about Chico but he did look a bit better in the last game. Let's hope he settles down.
That is true, but the players are still free to voice their concerns. It's like any job - if a new manager arrives and the employees think he's not good for the company, then they have a right to raise it higher up the management chain. It's then up to higher management to make a decision. In this case, if Huw has said ML is the manager, do as he says, then the players have to accept that. Unhappy players, like unhappy employees can leave if they don't like the decision. But ML is now 4th favorite in the better for next PL manager to leave. Either the bookies are covering themselves, or some money has come in for him. But Mark Hughes will probably leave first. I think ML could be gone soon. When chairmen give public backing to managers it is usually a sign that something serious is wrong. Saying it is meant to end speculation, but we all now how quickly some managers leave after they have had public backing from the chairman. http://www.thesackrace.com/competitions/premier-league
http://www.footballfancast.com/2012/10/football-blogs/why-certain-players-need-a-dose-of-reality? perhaps this applies to some within the players ranks , if so i suggest they read and digest
When Caulker was here, Ash had half the workload. Chico, well, I'm not impressed, and young Ben has a lot to learn. This I expect, is playing on Ash's mind, and he realises he has alot more work to do at the back. If we had another decent CB thathe could have faith in, that's when we see the best out of Ash.
