There were only five fixtures this week due to the postponement of the Motherwell fixture. Match 3 is void and every-one scores zero. The new scoring system for Triple-Dares saw a few people benefit; saintrichie123 and pompeymeowth both won and had their totals halved. 2nd places saw SFC4BAGâs score stand and Pompey_Londonâs is multiplied by 1.5 rather than 2. I am the Herminatorâs was doubled rather than trebled in 3rd, but it wasnât enough to save him. Singing Blue 3 still suffered a treble for coming 3rd in a Triple-Dare of his own making! Going over to the North for a couple of weeks to recharge the batteries. Did the same last year, but why waste time on expensive flights. I can get picked up by taxi in Protaras, get taken to my hotel in Kyrenia, check in, freshen up, get down to the bar and sit down with a pint of Effes and think 'if I was flying anywhere I'd still be kicking me heels at Larnaca waiting for my flight to be called!' By the way - you didn't need to play those cards, they're already assigned for the month!
I remember going to NC quite a bit when I was there. Kyrenia hasn't changed much I'll bet. Most of the North seemed quite desolate to me, run down businesses, that awful quarry near Karavostasi. I will never forget Varosha and the caves/catacombs near Famagusta though. We played a concert down there, with bats flying around our heads.
