Is there a concerted effort to drive him out of English football? Fair enough he was punished by the FA for the Evra case and for giving Fulham fans the finger and been booked for diving. Managers, retired referees, online football journos, broadsheet and tabloid journos all regularly have their say on him and single him out for their unbalanced criticism. Suarez might well end up leaving LFC due to the grief he gets, the guilty player in the recent race related case the FA dealt with did not receive the same negativity and stigma as Suarez, the other players recently shown to dive/simulate have not had their names and their picture sprawled over the back pages or football websites or even used by a FIFA member as the only example of diving and the reason it should be outlawed in the game. These last few days on our board the majority of us have slated his antics and urged him to cut it out of his game but i doubt there's many if any that want him out of the club but who could blame him for wanting out when he sees similar English culprits not getting the same reaction, the PFA who wanted him punished for his remarks to Evra also have a duty to protect him when there's a need and to stay silent when others are doing the same thing is a disgrace boardering on racism against Suarez. If in the end he leaves LFC because of the disgraceful witch-hunt against him those involved should hang their guilty heads in shame.
I don't think he would have signed a new deal if he didn't feel up to the task of it, to prove everyone wrong sort of mentality. I know that might well change if something else arises or this continues to get worse but He put pen to paper for the long haul so we shall see.
****ing do one. I think Suarez will remain with Liverpool, his diving antics have not made him popular but he's not the first and won't be the last. All the great players have a strong character and I really think he will learn and adapt to the PL and become a better player for it.
Bar the Ashley cole thing no one has anything to talk about that's why it's being plastered everywhere, bored to death the 2 stories personally as I'm sure most fans are. The way this has been dressed up you would think the ref was fooled by the dive, gave the penalty and we won 1-0
Not a mention of Bale in the papers is there? Nothing on BBC and SKY, but of course not the golden boy bale.
I can't see him lasting another season anyway. If he is as good as the scousers say he is why would he hang around at a midtable team/relegation battle??
Well, why is he the only one who should hang his head in shame? Before you reply please note that if it's shameful to dive bare in mind others including English and Utd players do it on a regular basis and also note the other high profile FA case involving an English player.
He doesn`t wind us mancs up though Zingy. We havn`t stopped laughing at your club all week (12 months even), due to Suarez`s antics. Long may it continue. The fact it looks like his cheating is starting to cost your team points, makes it even sweeter.
Now the club and team is on its arse winding other fans up is all they have now. Let them have it lol
UIR: you are Definitely on a Wum. I notice you didn't answer earlier & Page has reiterated it again. Lets assume that Suarez should feel guilty; remorse for all that he has been accused of so far. Why is the media & people like you making it out like he "invented" these offences? Ronaldo was one of the worst Divers in the world, Ashly Young is. Keane & Cantona assaulted deliberately other players & members of the public. Evra has used terns associated with the skin colour of another player (he just didn't go it on a football field) and Rio's behaviour was as morally repugnant in this area but all is forgiven. That's just a quick look at your team, every other teams the same more or less. So again, why is there such a rush by the FA, pressure groups, the media & opposition fans such as you to make out that he is the only one to exhibit unsavoury behaviour & that he should receive extra punishment, be kicked/driven out of football? As far as I can see, a decent Human being is the exception to the rule in football & unlike a lot of your players & indeed some of ours Suarez appears to be a quiet gentleman who's devoted to his family off field. If he is the epitome with all that is wrong with football, we're looking in the wrong direction. But again, you're here for the debate aren't you UIR. At least this thread is actually about Suarez.
