Greatest sporting moment ever was Fatima Whitbread squeezing my balls with the tender force of a brown bear nursing its young.
I was gonna let all these pass but is that the best team in England that came 17th, aye? please log in to view this image
I'd argue that the Thriller in Manilla was a better fight. The rumble is well known as Ali got the title back in that fight (a real rarity) with different tactics from those he normally used as well as the spectacle of the whole thing with Western media going to Africa for something prestigious Thriller was a better fight
Well, just the "and Co" as he was already off. For "and co" read "Tony Dorigo, Strachan and McAllister in their sixties" I remember watching Leeds the week before the first game with my da and we both said that Rangers were going to murder them. Rangers had a good team at the time but that Leeds team is a toss-up for the worst team to represent England in the CL ever with the Blackburn team that ended up fighting with themselves.
Man United were the best team in England in 1993. Leeds may have been defending champions having won the league in '91/'92, but they were awful in '92/'93. Didn't win an away game all season if I remember correctly. So there.
The game at Elland Road was the most impressive. A guy my dad worked with had a ticket (Rangers fans weren't meant to be there - both games were home fans only) that he got from some relative in Leeds. I think Hateley got the first goal and this boy jumped up - stewards huckled him out and he was getting dogs abuse. He went all that way and sat in amongst opposition fans and never even saw McCoist's goal.
Liverpool 0 Arsenal 2 Anfield 26 May 1989 Best moment ever (well aprt from Watford winning an FA cup QF at Highbury 2 years earlier) - all the scousers were convinced they'd won the leage and Michael Thomas sneaked in in the 89th minute to win the league for Arsenal. The morning of the game the papers were more or less saying that Arsenal should just let Liverpool win - thank Goid half that team were illiterate then............
Still makes the hairs stand on end
Fuck sake, Tony Dorigo was playing, as was Cantona, Chapman, Batty and <SPEED> Strachan, the same guy crowned POTY and league winner just 3 months earlier? McAlistair was 28 when we beat them. Also, what kind of bitter inbred **** has easy access to a league table from 1993 just to discredit the achievements of his country's most successful club? Bib= Big Inner Beel
They hadn't been beat at home for 2 seasons before the Gers came a'gaping. Suck on that ya fat baldy prick.
Anyone with a search engine That Leeds team were pish. Cantona was at Man U There's no discrediting going on. If you think beating the 93 Leeds team was up there with the greatest achievements in sport, you aw need your heids felt.
