We always aim to have the benefit of the fans, the club and the local community at the heart of everything we do. We will always strive to canvass the opinion of our members on all major issues related to the fans and the club and then aim to represent these views accurately and give Leeds United fans all over the world a voice: One Voice, Your Voice.

So when did they canvas fans or these 8,300 members for their opinion?

The truth is they have grown fast because of fans despising Bates - When Bates has gone and we have a proper chairman running the club I don't want some supporter being involved with having a say on things, specially when like you say, they can't have an opinion where everyone agrees so what is the point.

They have open surgeries almost daily on Waccoe, Twitter & Facebook, plus a widely publicised email address on their website. What more do you want? Calls to your personal mobile?

Mmmm so they cherry pick a few points they wish to go with? I don't see anywhere that they asked if the sign going up outside Elland Road was a good idea and should they go ahead with it. I don't see where they asked the fans if publishing a players unrest report was a good move.

LUST go ahead with things that a SMALL group decide on THEN release a statement that it has been done and the majority of the 8,300 members first knowledge of it is AFTER it is out there.
 
They cherry pick everything.

Another thing - Why can't LUST tell us who the original two bidders were, the two parties they introduced to the club? Why can't they tell us why those two parties failed in their attempt to buy us. Everything keeps getting blamed on a confidentiality issue, well the two parties LUST brought to the table are gone so who were they?

I dont expect you to name the bidders, but can you confirm you know 100 % the people who are bidding to buy us

Asked it a few times, and they will never give a straight answer.

In our first comments on the takeover back in May, we stated that we had spoken to at least two separate groups interested in taking over Leeds United. One of these groups was later granted a period of exclusivity to negotiate with the club. We know that this group had the financial resources and ambition to take the club forward.

At least two, so was it just two or was it three or four, saying at least two could mean TEN - My bet is that it was JUST two.
current bidders GFH Capital have only emerged as potential buyers in the last six weeks.

So they were not one of the initial groups and have nothing to do with LUST confirmed when LUST had to contact them to ask:
we have made contact with representatives of GFH Capital, to ascertain whether their plans for the club accord with the hopes of our 8,300 members

Let us not also forget how LUST told us that the new potential owners had ploughed £4million into the club already to fund purchases and contracts, another crock of ****? It obviously wasn't GFH who ploughed the money into the club as they have only emerged recently.

Hi Ristac. Historically, you and I have been pretty much in agreement on all things Leeds United. Here I must deviate from you.

It is impossible for any group to function the way you suggest. Even with a small group of 20 or 30, it would be almost impossible to get things done by polling the group.

I don't appreciate why you think it is a bad idea for fan representation to be giving input to the club. How can that be a bad thing? Are there any points in LUST's mission statement that you do not agree with?

As someone else wrote, it is absolutely unbelievable that there are fans out there that are willing to side with Bates over LUST (I am not suggesting that you do, just throwing that in there as an observation).
 
Lots of good questions, guys. Why not come along & ask them on Thursday night? Or is it more fun going on here to tear defenceless people to bits?

Yes I can see your point, I am not saying it is an easy thing to do but they were not speaking on behalf of all Leeds fans, many, myself included felt it was a terrible decision. A VERY small minority decided to release the players unrest statement, it was however released under the LUST banner of speaking on behalf of the fans.

So what about the second example, the poster outside the ground. On facebook LUST said "A few members suggested..." They didn't cherry pick that idea then, they couldn't have canvassed members?

I don't see why if I am honest mate, you have a poll, you invite all to vote and the majority wins.

On this forum we all have different ideas, how can one fan speak on behalf of the fans? You say you cannot poll a group, so how could one fan represent all fans?

I don't (prefer Bates) but when Bates has gone and assuming we are run by someone looking to make money by achieving success on the pitch then I can't see a place for LUST if I am being totally honest.

I agree with all four points of the LUST statement but tell me a fan who doesn't, it isn't something that has been put together by a genius and that isn't knocking anyone.

1) Success on the pitch.
2) Spend within the means of the club.
3) Positive relations.
4) Atmosphere in the ground.

We could have put that together in 5 minutes between us.

So you believe everything that LUST write including we will be bust without new owners come May and that the previous potential new owners ploughed £4 million into us. LUST said it so it must be right yes?
 
At last we have has a spread of opinion. I am going to try and not pick up ever unproveable post made extoling the latest LUST position from now on. Perhaps all you who post every fart that GC lets out can sense check things before typing. Your group hug mentality and aggesive refusal to see another opinion does you no credit.

LUST have passed on too much misinformation either by design or because they were conned. Either way until the leadership goes I wont believe they have the clubs interests at heart. It all looks like someone with an agenda.

I see someone mentioned here LUST having a seat on the board and that is what I have always believed all the leaking and scheming have been about. Someone said GC will not accept a seat on the board if its offered. If he said that publically on Thursday he would go up in my opinion. But I dont think thats likely.

Why exactly would he need to say it publicly? (unless, of course, he was asked)
 
Sorry to butt into your argument lads but can't you distrust Bates and LUST together, or, if you don't trust Lust you're automatically sucking Bates off, cos i thought every Leeds fan knows the old bastard is screwing us over
