Hate derby day me like, cant sleep before it, cant think of much else in the build up! But Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaawaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! http://www.safc.com/news/ticket-news/2012/october/derby-clash-sold-out
You forgot the apostrophe! It's "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa'waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" Today, I am mostly being a pedantic bastard....
Our capacity supposed to be 49,000 but we have never got any where near that, why. I reckon the 'walk around' above the east stand as i call it could have been about 30 ft wide and a stand could have been added later, and our capacity might have been about 57,000 now. And Newcastle are allowed about 2,000, and i have heard there is perspex sheeting going up to stop them throwing stuff over the top!. Of course it goes without saying the atmosphere will be fantastic, especially behind the south stand.
Sure it is just a rumour, really can't see Sunderland giving us that many tickets, bearing in mind they gave Arsenal 9,000 and would only give us 3,000 a few years back when attendances were down a lot.
Absolutely no way we would get 15,000. Police would veto it for a start. Hopefully it'll all go off without incident bar what happens on the pitch. I hope it is the usual intensity with a smattering of dodgy tackles. It makes it spicy and gives us stuff to argue about till the next one! No pitch invaders or fighting in the streets though.
How's Boro tickets going? I'm planning on being back for both games, maybe even come back for 6 months or so.
The Boro should be 40,000 + and the Boro have about 150 coming up as they sent a load of tickets back! haha, only joking.
Anyone think of Boro as having more importance than any other fixture? i did in the championship when yous weren't there, but in the prem it was just another fixture.
Had a slight something extra, but not a derby for me. If we lost to Boro, it felt like a loss, when we lose to the Toon, it feels like I've been kidknapped, arse raped, tortured and watched a close family member being murdered.
