A couple of articles linking us to Leeds' Robert Snodgrass.
I know it's the Mail like but nevermind...ha

These somewhat pleased me to be honest. I'm a fan of both Gradel and Snodgrass from Leeds and would love either of them here, but Snodgrass seems the better player to me. Having already been linked for Gradel a couple of times, glad to see us being linked to Snodgrass now.

He's had a brilliant past few seasons for Leeds and could easily make the step up to the Premier League.
Just what we're after too - young (23), and a winger. Capable of playing either side so there's versatility to consider too.

At a quoted £5m, what are your thoughts, if any?

with 35mil or whatever to spend, i'd hope we'd be aiming higher than that.

A very average player, wouldn't do well in the prem.

Gradel hasn't convinced me from what I've seen, Snodgrass looks alright but nothing better than what we already have.

Snodgrass has always looked class when I've seen him. I wanted us to sign him a while back but I don't think he's really what we need right now.

Wouldn't mind to be honest. Maybe a swap deal involving Smith and maybe Perch + plus some money for Snodgrass? Say 2m + Smith/Perch/Raylor. ?

He reminds me of Milner, too slow to be out on the wing and would be better suited in the centre.

Mixed responses then ha. (mainly a no :p)
I think he could be one for the future. Not an immediate first team player obviously, but for squad depth. He's only 23 and has bags of potential. A proposed swap deal as Sanch- err... Rambo suggested could suit us better.

He's not that young, or that good. He's only 6 months younger than Guthrie and people are saying Snodgrass is one for the future?

    A huge no.

I was just watching that at the time, thought i'd put it on my post randomly.

Back on topic, I'd be dissapointed too. I'd expect (or at least hope for) someone of a much higher quality, we should be looking for a strong first 11 signing and Snodgrass doesnt fit that category that's for sure.

We should also be looking for decent squad depth too, which Snodgrass does fall into in my opinion. It's not as if we're spending massive amounts of money on him. And if we can sneak somewhat of swap deal into it too, it could turn out a decent piece of business.

All a matter of opinion though of course, I must appreciate.
