It's an A from me. Viewing this board has become part of my daily routine and I love it. Don't want it to change. You boys have my full backing. Respect the voluntary effort. As you were.

 

The fact that you have this poll Nuts/Brix based on a issue that getting on towards 40% drew a question. You have made a new set of amended rules that for sure tighten things up for the future ... IMO its wasn't rules etc it was just bad judgment at the time. You have a poll here and yet with a new self moderation in place you allow a comment to be posted whereupon a potential offensive remark made by a Anti Swords member is allowed to stand. I have made arrogant remarks and posts completely on purpose over the last few days to highlight inconsistencies. Call that what you will but i must have demonstrated that you can go from hero to villain very quickly on here. I am neither here. I do not think the treatment of Swords and in the past Cerny Berny was fair ... Self moderation is a tightrope it will be really interesting to see how it evolves on here and i hope of course it works. To nutshell a current gripe ... Poll on Swords was clear you let it run with the options and Swords was voted clearly that no ban would be the prefer option ... what did you do manipulate the results to back up your original decision . In a way that i think is good powerful control but IN WHAT WORLD in that consistent. I gave a C in this poll and yet i am labelled I don't care when it is clear i do. Running a poll any poll means very little if you don't take stock of the results. To that of course this one i give my full backing as it is clearly the winner

Literally short for scrotum. When a person, usually a male, is so useless and insignificant that they do not deserve the tiny effort it takes to spit out a second offensive syllable; less than a scrotum.

This. Anybody who really wants to understand why A is the oply possible choice, do their job for a week. You'll be screaming by the end of it, I assure you. Either that, or you'll be moderating a board of one member - yourself.

Dave, you may well care, and clearly do, but if you voted C (which is "Answer C if you don't care") then you're labelling youself, mate.

At theend of the day, we all have responsibilities on here - responsibilities to our club abd our fellow fans, to debate issues fairly , openly and with respect, and to enjoy the banter without getting personal, insulting, or abusive. Self-moderation is great when it works and when the individuals can correctly apply it, but we need moderators for when they can't.

I don't want to go over the issues again, but seriously - how many chances did Swords really think he was going to get? I hope he's realising during his sabbatical that the responsibility lies with him if he wants to return - he has to abide by the rules set out by those whose unpaid and unpopular task it is to keep an eye on the rest of the toddlers in the room. When his ban is over, I reckon he will get one more chance, then he'll be gone for good, and nobody else to blame but himself it it happens. Nobody is forcing him to write what he does in the way he does.

As for the current mods? Brix and Nuts have my complete backing, and they can choose to moderate this board exactly how they want. If I disagree, it's my choice to stay or to go, or I can ask questions of them, but it's always their decision and I need to abide by that decision or take a walk. Simple.
