Worst thing about being in Europe is the changing of fixtures, especially when you have to fly up from Plymouth (after travelling tol Bristol airport), book a room for the night etc only to find the game has been changed to a different date!

It's about hour and half to Bristol, but to be fair the flight only take 45 minutes so if I leave at 8am can be up there by 11am which isn't too bad! But yeah it sets me back about £300 each time I go, hence I only go up twice a year. No complaints from me though, especially when you see our fans travelling all around Europe to follow the lads!

Never forget the scene in the san siro (from the comfort of my sofa). Our fans looked to have taken over the whole stand behind the goal, when shearer scored before half time the scenes were incredible.

Travelling fans are great, I've been going to our away games for a few years and it's great chatting with them before and after the match, and during the game you feel proud to be one of them. Met a couple of them that have travelled on the same coach as me for a number of years at the game on Sunday, the best part of the day for me. :(

Yeah I've gotta be honest I'd love to go to an away game, not knocking our home fans but our away support is superior (just seems to be more vocal),I guess this is the case of 90% of teams though. Only away game I've been to of our's is the FA Cup game down here against Argyle when we were in the championship, the game was pretty much a non event (0-0 draw) but our fans were really flat. I'd have thought after the longest journey of their season they'd have been well up for it but like the team on the day the fans also didn't get going.

Due to loyalty points etc it's almost impossible to get tickets for an away game unfortunately.

Plymouth's a pretty tiring journey by coach, most of them might have been knackered.

I had a ticket for that game but couldn't make it, I gave it to one of the stewards on the coaches and told him to give it to one of our fans down there if there was any without a ticket.

The thing about the away support though, is that we're all together and sing and chant together instead of having different factions singing and chanting different things at the home games.

Yeah that definitely helps, I also always think that away fans are determined to enjoy the day out no matter what the result. I wasn't knocking our home support, to get 50k a week when we had Souness in charge etc is phenomenal. Just as you say it's difficult at times to generate an atmosphere (especially when you're being asked to sit down every 5 minutes), that said our fans were the best I've heard them in a long time yesterday, great support.

The Man Utd fans being in such good voice meant we had to be in good voice ourselves to compete with them.
