Any of our players are liable to be tempted because we have a self-imposed wage cap, and we know modern day players like shiny things (probably the only way they are like real magpies...). However, you're about par with us on recent league record, so anyone of the big guns would probably beat off your interest in truth, no offence intended.

Would he fit into your system? I think he'd be perfect for it. He's mobile, strong, effective in the air and a goal machine. What system wouldn't he fit in with?

Love Demba, he's shown his class since signing for West Ham, and I was surprised we got him to begin with. Would love us to keep him, because if we invested a bit more we could turn our decent squad into Top 4 challenging. At present, we just have 11/12 really good players, injuries destroy us.

Any chance we can have Jose and Andy back, seeing as we're talking switches?

Stoke are a tough team to play. The way they play isn't pretty to watch and any team will do well to beat them home and away this season. We only just beat them 1-0 and though you drew I wouldn't be too disheartened. Yes you are in the bottom half with a poor amount of points on the board but if you stick with Brendan he will do great things for your club. At Swansea he did a superb job and had them playing some lovely footie. It took time, yes, but their chairman gave him this time and look where it took them! You guys just have to have a little faith and slowly but surely you'll start to pick up the results...

As for Suarez... well... if you're gunna dive then at least make it a good one! ;)

jeez he f***ing didn't , he just was lucky coming to a club that already plays that way, other than that I would agree (grudgingly)

Well you have certainly changed from last season... You still have pretty much the same squad and you're not having a fantastic start tbh. Whether it's you not playing the same footie or other teams are figuring you out then you can decide.

    It will come

Suarez is a number 10, not a number 9, we needs the owners to put there hand in there pockets in Jan and get a top number 9 ( Damiao or Llorente would be nice ). IMO we arnt far away from being a really good side, we need to alter one or things and get a bit of luck.We also need the entire team to badger the ref more often, we are sh*te at manipulating the ref, Yernited are f**kin masters at it, they nevre leave him alone

One of things we need to do is when Suarez vacates the number 9 position , somebody need to go in2 that space, we also need to stop leaving Luis so isolated so often

Im certain this manager will bring success, it just takes time, I see lots of similarities between Rafas early weeks and BRs

Exactly - Suarez is expected to create and score and will have defenders around him at all times. Once we bring in a CF, Suarez doesn't become that focal point all the time - the CF will then occupy some of the defenders leaving Luis with a bit more space to work in.

  13. I like your optimism regarding us bringing in a 'number nine' <ok>

  15. I don't think Rodgers will bring in a traditional 'number nine'. I think he will look to bring a player or two in but they will be more like a Dempsey than a Fowler, Owen or Torres type of player <ok>

IMO - that would be a big mistake, unless the player is of top quality - again, pointing to the rumours of David Villa who can play on the wing or down the middle.

We need a proper striker because they can then occupy the box thus forcing Luis out wide which I think will get the best out of him. Having another focal point up top will relieve the burden on Suarez.

EDIT: The rumours on Walcott are hotting up - AFC Chairman says that they offered him a reasonable contract and Theo didn't think it was acceptable.

Lets look at the type of player that rodgers wants.

    a) he's picked technical type players suso, even joe cole, he's made suarez his central man.

    b) he did buy borini who's of a type, crap but of a type. he wanted sturridge who is similar but better cos he actually makes contact with the ball.

    c) he dumped carroll as fast as he could.

    d) he's picked sterling consistently and bought assaidi as well.

the trend to me would seem to be that he would go for a technical type of player like a jari litmanen or would actually want a fowler, robbie was very quick when young and could score off anything.

I can say for sure the huntelaar, llorente type is not fitting this trend.

so.... all in all... we desperately need a forward, my poll last month showed most fans think we'll move as early as possible for one the question has to be on january 1 if we are in the bottom half will we move for someone?

ok, so did we waste £10 mill to keep Borini our "striker" on the bench? No wonder the owners are pulling there hair out about wasted money!!

first we want the forward isolated..... its the enitre plan! we are playing deep and trying to draw midfielders out to make sapce for one pass to that forward. our "wingers" are just sticking wide to hold fullbacks out so one forward plays two cbs when the pass comes... or so we hope.

we are trying and trying to pass it about until the oppositions midfield is drawn forward and a gap opens then the pass goes stright forward to suarez in space and the CB is his first target, isolate him and drive at him....

the issue with borini is he can't actually even kick the damn ball right now, he keeps swinging and missing. he's a willing lad, plenty of running etc but he's got nothing in his locker to deliver.

My argument is not against Borini as a player, but people are talking about bringing in a striker in Jan, so we just spent £10m on him for what?
