This forum would fall apart without moderation from Brix and Nines! It has been proved that "self-moderation" does not work.

You are both very lenient when others might be a lot stricter. You've given some posters warnings when perhaps they've deserved bans.

If Carlsberg made mods, then Brix and Nines would be them.

If the worst comes to the worst and you both decide to step down, then finding posters who would want to mod could be hard or easy depending on how many people volunteer. A list of scenarios with multiple choice answers might be a solution to finding mods.

I think they have been open and honest about the situation and have my respect for acknowledging that they have made mistakes on some issues. No answer if they choose to stay or go ... respect only they know. Very hard job. I submit a small idea that if a offensive remark is made on the board then a MOD steps in and asks the person to repeat it publicly. That way the offence is seen and if it breaches the rules then of course action is taken . I stand that posters can always put people on ignore and that is one way stop the rot. Even the mods drop a few hints that this person is on ignore if that is possible. Name and Shame but debate is the name of the game. I am sure i am on a few ignore lists and i respect that ... why because i am wrong a lot of the time.
Debate about our football club and all other issues should be settled by debate not a rule book that it seems no one understands

This reminds me of my eight year old saying to me 'when you're dead can I drive your car?'

I tried to message Brix a few days ago about this (just doesn't work on phones).

Basically said that neither him nor NUTS should judge their astronomical high approval rating based on a divisive subject.

They asked for opinions and we're never shy in offering them. The fact that they found the middle ground and then had it vindicated by being dead centre of an even spread of votes just shows the qualities they demonstrate constantly in weighing up the needs of the majority of the board.

I'll be surprised and disappointed if they get less than 95%.

All hail the hard-working wisdom that they apply behind the scenes for our collective benefit!

Its pathetic and sad that its come to this. I'm not surprised though , why should anyone giving of their own time have to out up with the crap they do. If the culprits behaved in the right manner then you don't need a Mod to get involved. I wonder if many of the puerile comments made at times would be made if the people involved were sat in a pub together. I have my doubts. So grow up, use the board in the correct manner and support the Mods by making their jobs easier

The key thing here is i respect the fact that they got it wrong and have admitted it. We have many different poster styles on here . I studied this while away last month and there's a clue in my current arrogant style. I think they were wrong and fully expect that to be challenged by what has appeared to be a old boys club forming. I have my own clipboard on my views on the posters on here as i am sure you all respectfully have yours. I thank all the PM's of support i have received I think the current Mods have proved how good they are ... More could be said about that Northolt bloke he was rubbish
