Unfortunately the bloke will be in his well paid job for life, could you imagine the racist scandal if he got sacked, clearly the guy has no clue about football, but unfortunately is pretty much un sackable.
Firstly ... I think Crooks is awful as an interviewer and pundit. I can not bare to listen to him or read his interviews as I find them boring and clichéd. BUT... He ain't the only boring, awful clichéd football pundit who appears to have a job for life. Look at Alan Brazil, Phil Thompson, Paul Merson etc... there is a real long list to be honest. All of these seem un-sackable but they are all white. Therefore I think it is lazy, cheap and pointless to bring race into this. It is simply another case of jobs for the boys. It's crap, it's wrong but it has sod all to do with race.
Colinlee on this occasion is completely spot on. Crooks is abysmal as a pundit but he is just one of many. End of.
Garth Crooks has no redeeming features be it his punditry or his attitude. He is not a good pundit and how the BBC keep him on board is ridiculous... thought that said there are many pundits nowadays who haven't a clue on what they are talking about
Garth Crooks seems like a nice chap to be fair. Robbie Savage on the other hand is an insufferable bellend ****.

As others have said, he's one of the more harmless of all the clueless pundits. In his defence the player is English and when's the last time anyone watched a Scotland game? The Hansen one they mention in the article is far more stupid. Crooks definitely needs to do a bit more fact checking though, he's always making mistakes including calling Vertonghen Dutch the other week. For me the biggest pile of **** I've seen from a pundit is Mark Bright predicting Liverpool to win the league last season. Not a ****ing clue
only he knows! littlejohn looks like he was about to crap himself! As for crooks the pundit, yes he talks crap, yet I can't help but like the guy...regardless of the fact he played for spurs, anyone who can pull off his facial expressions and "attitude" surely deserves some praise!
Forgot about him, he is also up there as well. In fact BBC have a collection of terrible pundits. Shearer,Lawrenson,Bright,Savage and Hansen. Terrible.
He had a column in the Metro that used to wind me right up. Apparently everything that happened in football could be related back to him playing with "Wrighty" or him turning down the chance to play for Arsenal.
