Even if it was by little tits using Hillsborough as an excuse it is nice to see South Yorkshire police on the back foot for a change.. they've done it to enough Football fans over the years.. I've had a baton in the head on the way back from Brammall Lane simply for not walking fast enough to the train station.. treat people like scum - they start acting like scum.. people were always going to fight back one day.
back to the original sentiment. Hillsboro is pretty naff as concourses go, especially for a stadium of its size and stature, but by no means the worst. Fratton Park is the worst I have been to in the top couple of leagues but even that is relatively good compared to places like Underhill or Layer Road or countless others on our odyssey down and up the leagues.
Hillsborough is looking very dated now and so is South Yorkshire Police's way of dealing with incidents
sadly i recognized a couple of people in the vid and they have been brought up as tigers fans although they never used to be anything like that god knows what happened to them to be like that!
I'm guessing it was Eff Cee fans getting their own back for the time that City fans definitely, 100% went to the Challenge Cup semi at Huddersfield posing as rugby fans and smashed the posts up whilst taunting the Rhinos fans. Just to clarify - that definitely happened.
It was like they had some random kitchen surfaces lying around so stuck them in and stuck a cage over it.
Of course they are City fans, you should accept them as part of the rich fabric of the Tiger Nation. I hate Sheffield, but hate Sheff United in particular.
You would not be alone i guess. I had no problems either way but had some good banter with wendies fans walking back to Owlerton car park. Did you park at Owlerton stadium then PB ? Was it easy for you to get away afterwards ? Glad i stayed in my seat then. Next game there is TWS on friday 19th oct. also live on sky. SYP should expect more of the same or worse i guess. I very much doubt that re. the food. As for the decor that does not matter actually.
What about Luton? Most people think it's crap there, although I've got to confess I found their concourse quite homely.
To be honest, I try and delete anything Luton related from my memory and I can't even remember what it looks like. I hate Luton nearly as much as some people hate Stoke.
Serving food half way up some steep concrete steps must contradict some, if not all, health and safety rules. I got a bollocking on there for lighting a cig, I said I'm outside on a concrete step, you can't count this as being inside the stadium, but he still made me put it out. He then spent the next 100 minutes telling me to sit down. I don't think he liked me very much.
