Huth is an absolutely top drawer CH and anybody that says diff is a proper throbber !!! Its not to say he doesnt see the red mist every now and then .. and it is very rare nowadays But lets be honest who doesnt want to tread on that little greasy diving racist little twat called suarez he is what TP rightly called him AN EMBARRASSMENT !! as for liverpoo fans on here wind ya neck in your glory years are that long gone ...... Dinosaurs will be re invented the next time u get a look at the league !! top 4 !!!!!!!!!!!!!! is this a chubby brown joke pisser
Well back from game. Disapppointed that there some absurd comments on here form non Stoke. I will let you have my full comments tomorrow. Also Suarez should have got 2 yellows as well. The dive was quite pathetic. Very disappointed to see Huth do that today. Takes the shine off the day.
Have to be careful - he was never charged with being a 'racist'. EDIT: By large I'll say it's been good to hear from the Stoke fans on here - you don't get about much!
Potter Palm I think? I will await Cris's comments as he was " At the game today" As for Suarez I've said what I had to say on the Liverpool baord. Huth? **** me Pulis should have a word in his ear IMO. As should Brendan Rodgers with Suarez. Liverpool are no where near the side they had in the 70s/80s agreed on that point. What makes me sick is that player's like Ivanovic etc Chelsea game a DIVe and that ASSULT on Walters we're far worse than what Huth did today. Even BALE did a Tom Daley as did Davies vs Swansea last week. GREAT pt played well for half an hour or so I'll wait see what Cris say's. KTF Potter Palm and P.S. Did you see my apology to you this last week? Re the Swansea board? I was out of order Potter P SORRY
Morning Rev, Camus was a decent goalkeeper. Not quite good enough for Monty Python's Philosopher's XI, but nevertheless...
Liverpool are the new, much worse edition of Arsenal. A weak side that uses every excuse in the book rather than looking at themselves. We all know stoke play rough but other teams can go and be just as rough, United, Chelsea for example. They have no qualms about getting stuck in and dont go looking for every excuse after the game. Huths stamp was bad and he will get a ban for it, dont think many if any stoke fans are arguing that point but they are a physical side who get stuck in. You can either feel sorry for yourself about it and lose points or you can get stuck in aswell. I didnt hear any Liverpool supporters complain when Shelvey got stuck in the other week, or when Gerrard has got stuck in on the many occasions. Suarez isnt a stranger to the dirtier side of the game, hes probably as bad if not worse than anyone on the pitch at Anfield yesterday when it comes to playing rough. He just cant take it when its against him. Stoke have been this way for years, so why is it some clubs still havent figured it out. You are going to be in a fight, prepare for it. Well done on your point Stoke
Because they're isolated incidents - not further evidence of systematic anti-football. You wouldn't be saying any of this if it was United. I see Pulis and Huth have escaped any action because Lee Mason says he 'saw' the incident. Would love to know why he didn't award even a free kick then.
United have played stoke as many times as Liverpool in recent years and I dont think I or many United fans have ever complained. Said the 'rainy tuesday night in stoke' joke a few times but its only a joke. So I dont think it would be different if it was United, we have some small players, we have Nani who everyone considers a pansy but we dont blame stokes ruffnes. We tend to win aswell
Do you actually have any further evidence of this "systematic anti-football"? Personally I feel quite sorry for Huth. It's not his fault he misunderstood when UEFA said they wanted to stamp out racism in football...
This. IIRC this time last year Woodgate shoved Hernandez into Begovic when we played Stoke and he had to go off injured. It should've been a pen and arguably a card, but most Utd fans didn't start whinging about how big and bad and mean Stoke are as a result.
Just lurv that one Swarbs, stamp out racism or stamp out the racist!!!! By the way, the reason that the ref Lee Mason didn't see it, was cos he probably wished it was him that was himself seeing to the cheating little mucho bastardo south american son of a thousand fathers, all bastardos - just like him (Clint Eastwood the good the bad and the ugly or in Suarez's case the bad and the very very very ugly). If Carslberg made ugly cheating bastardos, then.............................................. with a scouse accent
So what 'you think' is empirical evidence now. Sure. Watch their games. Obviously it's our prerogative to beat them, which we couldn't do, but that doesn't mean it's not anti-football. We all know it is. And... that joke's been going about Twitter since yesterday
Don't get me going about Twitter, saw Gerrards entry this morning: #lfc, er er er um um er er like yer know er er er nandos er er er um um er
I hope you can see the contradiction there. There is no empirical difference between what "you think" and what "we all know". Unless you have some stats or other evidence that actually supports your argument then I suggest you wind your neck back in. I have watched Stoke plenty of times and saw nothing that isn't done by most teams fighting for mid table safety. Claiming Stoke are somehow worse than anyone else because "we all know" that is no better than claiming "we all know" foreign players dive more, referees favour big teams, or any of the other prejudices disguised as facts. I'm not on Twatter. Personally I was surprised no one had made in on this site yet!
What exatly did Gerrard say then Nicky? Not that I'm too worried. Let's have a guess was it something to do with yesterdays game...
As promised I am posting my comments which I consider to be objective as all who know me do I think appreciate. 4 of us travelled up yesterday and had a terrific day. I have now seen Stoke 5 times at Anfield now, (0-0 some Boxing Day late 1960's, 6-1 & 5-3 defeats early 1970's and 2-2 league cup in 1991 and only lose once. So am overdue a win sometime in the next couple of years. So much for remembering previous meetings. The first 20 minutes I thought Stoke were the better team. Wilson had a belter from 25 yards just going over the bar. Adam really should have done better with a chance in the first 8 minutes when somehow the Liverpool defence were messing around with the ball on the edge of the box. Having seen the Huth incident on MOTD 2 last night I was very disappointed. That probably set the pattern for teh rest of the half. I turned to the guy I was with at half time and said that he wa slucky to be on the pitch still. I have said on previous threads that in my view Huth is a thug. What he did today confirms my opinion. When he concentrates on his own game, that is when he is at his best! Again in my view Pullis could have been better off subbing him at half time as SAF did with Gary Neville at the Brit when the latter had taken out Matty with knee high tackles. In the 25 minutes to half time the game decended to a great extent with Stoke committing needless freekicks. Gerrard had a shot well saved and Begovic looked in total control. Suarez went through only for Begovic to go down and quite honestly Suarez went in very hard. He also went for Huth with a late tackle which should have earned a yellow! Kightley, Walters, Whitehead and Adam all deserved bookings. I did not see what Ryan got booked for! Probably Adam was booked on the number of fouls he committed. Walters was also lucky that he did not booked in the first half. Really the referee should have got hold of the game early on and imposed his authority at once. Finally on the first half I felt that we needed to convert one of those chances to put more pressure on Liverpool. Inevitably in the second half, Liverpool dominated and although it was not all one way traffic, Begovic did not actually have to make a save of consequence. The chants of 'USA' greeted Cameron whenever he beat Gerrard or won important balls. Wilson did well at left back against Sterling. Ryan was composed almost throughout with control shown. In midfiield, I thought it was crass playing Whelan who obviously was carrying a hamstring from last week. N'Zonzi was hustled and bustled and for me it was his least effective performance. Walters worked hard but did not produce anything of substance. Crouch battled well alone upfront against Agger and Skirtel. The dive by Suarez in the latter stages of the game was laughable and this should have earnt him a second yellow. 3 Stoke players threw their arms up in horror at the way he went down. So there are my views of the game. I do not agree with such comments made of saying 'Huth should have really stamped on him'. The support given by the travelling fans was continous, although some of the chanting was a bit near to the mark! Anyway a point won. We look forward to going to OT and endeavouring to gain another point to cement our position in midtable. No doubt we will hear in the next 24 hours whether Huth will be banned. Yes you guessed it I think he should be. He has to learn that if the referee does not see it, TV will! All the best Cris
