Morning all, shortly off to hospital to see the surgeon, who I hope will give the all clear to have the ball and chain removed. ;) I was told that if I behaved it could come off today. I have done my best to be good, not easy, but unless they cut it off it will disintegrate soon. I am now starting to leave little heaps of white powder whenever I put the thing on the floor. <yikes>

I have read this morning that our splendid ref on Saturday has had a number of his red cards appealed. So far none have been overturned. First time for everything!

Hope you are successfully unplastered, Frenchie.

Very wet here...means I can't rake the lawn again. What a shame!

    QUOTE]

I note that i am currently 30 seconds ahead of you on match thread postings at the mo. :emoticon-0102-bigsm[/QUOTE]

A lot nearer and no water for the signal to cross. If i watch a game on TV and listen to commentary via the computer, the pictures can actually be a couple of minutes ahead sometimes. :(

Thanks folks for your thoughts. <ok> I have been cut free which is quite a relief, but am not allowed to walk on it yet. Have to have physio to slowly get the tendon used to having weight on it again. No further daily injections either with blunt Chinese needles. Very nice young red-headed student nurse in attendance who would have been very welcome to give my freshly exposed limb a rub. ;) Oh and Mme thinks that the surgeon is rather dishy, so is looking forward to my check up in a months time.

Morning all, Sunshine and showers here but quite mild.

Thanks for the coffee ak, I must give some thought to a skiing holiday as I haven't tried that yet. A friend did manage to injure herself out on the slopes and had to be brought down off the mountain in one of those cigar like stretchers. She found the speed in it was greater than anything she managed on her skis.

Hope that the red card will be overturned. Normally it is dealt with straight away so that a player sent off on a Saturday can play on a Tuesday if found to be not guilty.
