what a player he has been. Without him we'd have half the points we have. A real fans favourite now Give him a two year deal before its too late
I do agree LIW So strong on the ball and calm Thought his and Browns experience helped us see the game out saturday! what did you think of the lunge on him on the final whistle by Jacob Mellis?straight red offence and the lad new it aswell thats why he walked straight off!!
Thought diouf was soft has **** there, a booking at most. Thought white was shocking. And i dont rate pearce or lees, that highly
I saw ur assessment on the CBs I thought the total opposite tbh think they are solid together just need regular partners at Full back Craig Davies and Marlon Harewood are likely to be the strongest centre forwards they will come up against! White and Peltier where awful but thats because they where out of position, white was better on left wing although his feet are too quick for his brain at times.
Dominated physically but they restricted their strikers to half chances. there are not many centre backs that are quick they arent built to have pace but pearce does run like a knob really does **** himself with the ball at his feet lol but he will put his head on the line, Tom Lees is improving
Agree that he has been great for us, but he is hungry to prove a point. So no way would I give a contract beyond the seasons end, unless it had clauses in it. Example: I would offer him 7k a week to the seasons end in the Championship, with a clause entitling him to 1 guaranteed season at 30k week if we are promoted to the Premier League.
I am not convinced by Pearce technically yet, finds himself on the wrong side of players too much for me. Yet I agree he gives it 100% which is something you can not teach so he could come good.
Putting aside other issues, I'm not sure Diouf could cut it in the PL at this stage of his career, looks slow for the Championship and is only going to get slower. His skill puts him a class apart in this league but he'll find it much harder to play against PL full backs IMO. Pearce and Lees I rate very highly, as I do all of the young players in our first team. Lees, Pearce, Byram, White and Poleon could all form part of a Premier League Leeds United team if they are coached well. Pearce isn't the best technically, but we'd have conceded even more goals if it wasn't for his last gasp challenges, putting his head in when others wouldn't etc. and Lees is improving every aspect of his game all the time.
Simon If you think diouf couldnt play in the prem but pearce and less could, you need to go to the funny farm. Lees and pearce are struggling in the champ. No pace and like you say prem alot quicker
PL clubs were after Pearce in the summer, Lees is in the Under 21 side and improving all the time. Diouf is on the way down in his career, he is only going to get worse from this point, Pearce and Lees will only get better.
Adding a 'y' to the end of the one-syllable name of someone you don't even know... cringeworthy. And laughable. Diouf out.
PL clubs were after Pearce in the summer ------------------------------------------------------------- So why didnt he go there. Pearce and Lees will only get better. ---------------------------------------------- Sometimes that doesnt happen. Not going to get any faster, and a million miles from prem standard. And getting a cap for england u21, big deal. Ive seen and watched plenty of centre halfs at Leeds and these are way from the standard. Way below, i saw a 33 year old carthorse in harewood, bully pearce so easy. What top quality prem strikers going to do
apologies if you've seen this already, but forget Lees and Pearce, THIS is the sort of Centreback that would fit in well at LUFC! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvEobeNfGcc
Can we sign her? Even if she can't play, we could use her as a defensive coach. Or a bouncer! She's clearly been coached by Vinnie Jones & Bruce Lee. Brilliant! Dirty Leeds !!!! MOT.
If we somehow make it to the PL without the takeover having gone through we're ****ed and will come straight back down. Out of the current squad only Austin and McCormack could possibly make the step up. The rest are either too old, too inexperienced, or not good enough. A totally new squad would be needed, and probably a new manager.
we should sign up the ref who let her stay on the pitch that long, as well (though I imagine the s c * m already have him on a retainer
btw, the more I see that video at the bottom of Simon's posts, the more I am starting to wish the fancy dancing Argie would miss - have to keep telling myself he's OUR fancy dancing Argie
Perhaps he was on a promise? In the communal bath with her & her other playmates! Who could refuse that??
You'd have to be a brave man (or an idiot Scotsman, of course ) to take that one on. Though certainly you'd have a sense of achievement if you survived.
