I've had a few of those in my time. Sometimes used to fall asleep in the toilets at work. Not advisable. ;)

Yeah, my personal favourite is W.O.K., but T.J.H. always runs it close. Most peoples' favourite is one of those two.

I agree. The next one will be out soon (next year?). That'll be another one to look forward to. <ok>

Yeah, I've heard next gen enthusiasts bigging it up. Still not seen it yet. Tried downloading it a while ago but could get the damn thing to play. <doh>

Indeed. I watched the first episode tonight of Series 10 (still can't believe Back to Earth was considered a series!). Wasn't too bad actually. No Holly, but also not too many extraneous characters either. I think the episodes are better when they keep them relatively simple. Also, there was a quality bit in the episode where Rimmer was called a 'tw*t'. I'd watch it again just for that. <ok>

Looper: confusing, no idea whether it was a good film or not..

Don't go an watch it stoned. I don't smoke pot really.. Been a year since I had a chug. For to the cinema late. Got in there during an ad for a film the cinema was half empty.. I didn't like the seats we were allocated so sat further up thinking we would be the last ones in.. Just as the film had started 5 poles came in and typically we were sat in their seats.. Was highly embarrassing .. Missed the narrative as to the set up of loopers as had to move seats..

Prometheus is well worth a watch. Not the impact of the first 'Alien' as nothing like that had ever been done before. But deffo decent.

This coming weekend I will be home alone and so need some films to watch, please post your thoughts bearing in mind below.

I have no sense of humour so no comedies.
    I like Sci Fi.
I like serious action but not the below.
I don't like Expendables type movies.

    My top 3 films are.
    The Big Lebowski
    He Got Game
    Pulp Fiction

    Thanks in advance.

I'd go for a boxset weekend..

Do all the Star wars films back to back.

Then do the Back to the Future films..

    Then The Matrix films

    then the bourne films..

and finish off with the extravaganza of the lord of the rings films..

Thought the whole film was pointless, Ridley Scott has made a fortune from the Alien films and then goes back and does an origins film that lacked any real cutting edge. The fact that we now know where the Aliens come from does nothing to enhance the other 3 or so films and as a stand alone movie it just wasn't good enough. He even went down the strong female lead route with an actress that looked like Sigorney Weaver.

I think he would have done better remaking and improving the originals as they don't stand the test of time well.
