They missed Gerrard off but a pretty accurate list really.

Though tbh there were probably players back in the early days that were just as hated but are now forgotten <ok>

Gerrard isn't hated universally though. These guys are but there a few I would add to the list. Karl Henry seems to be pretty much despised by all. Cantona was none too popular. Roy Keane? Vieria? Lucas Neill? He was just pure scum. Stephen Hunt - filthy leprechaun. Shearer was pretty much hated all round, particularly after bribing the FA <laugh>.

The mackems won't be happy Cattermole is in there. They reckon he doesn't just go in to hurt people, and his challenges are either as a result of a poor touch or genuine attempt to win the ball. I did point out its probably best when the ball is on the floor, not to aim halfway up Luka Modrics leg!

I do think Joey will be geuinely disappointed not to have secured No.1. He'll be sitting thinking "what more could I do"

Three of them played for you!, Barton, Woodgate and Boyer. And Clattermole should have been gone a long time ago.

9. Didier Drogba – Brilliant player, awful person.

They have him on for the wrong reasons, he seems like a decent bloke off the pitch(going by what he does/ puts into charities etc) but an utter **** on the pitch.

Woodgate wasn't on the list but to be fair Bowyer, Dyer, Barton and Bellamy all played for us - three of them at the same time! Though Dyer often only played for us in theory...

Also, I was suprised Anelka wasn't on here. The way he handled himself in his early career was pretty loathsome.

Plus didn't Roy Keane admitted to intentionally ending Hangelands career? That's surely worse than anything any of the players on the list have done - including Barton (punching a bloke in the face isn't as bad as stamping on the side of their leg to end their career in my book).

As for player like Ronaldo and Suarez being in the list, whilst they aren't exactly endearing characters i think being skillfull and competetive-beyond-the-point-of-cheating are commonplace so whilst they're disliked on footballing terms its hard to place them aside players like El-Hadji Diouf (who is a total scrotum).

Why would Gerrard be on it UIR, come on now <laugh>

Usual suspects all there though, thought Suarez would be #1 to be honest.

No mention of Michael Owen, Shawcross, Torres, Scholes, Giggs, Nani, Young, Evra... Or indeed Gallas.

There's a glaring one missing for me from that list, I'm not sure how many people actually hated Drogba and Ronaldo, yes they jumped about from time to time but they've provided us with some of the greatest memories in Premier League history. I never hated Drogba for a prolonged period of time, his football always made me forgive him for scoring offside goals that won the title for Chelsea!

JENS LEHMANN - what a fantastic prat, I still hate him with a passion now for his pathetic attempts at feigning injury.

I'd agree on Drogba. He got a bit of stick for his falling over towards the end but I thought it very harsh for him to be included. I think Chelsea do get a few in just on the basis people still hold resentment over them buying their way back to the top and their owner being a villain. Drogba is alright for me, a diver yes but 90% are.

Ronaldo I understand because everyone hates the slimy self obsessed prick. 2nd greatest footballer on the planet certainly, but an absolute arse of an attitude. Obviously they all have egos but his is the size of the moon! Throw in his theatrics and its difficult to find something to like aside from his ability.

I'd agree on Lehmann though. He could literally rub anyone up the wrong way. And his compatriot Steffen Freund had a similar ability, and likewise indulged in a spot of theatrics.

I'd add to that list:

Nigel De Jong
Titus 'Rapey' Bramble
Roy Keane
Karl Henry
Michael Owen
