Huge three games for Villa. Don't win any of them, and the media and bookies will be turning on Lambert next.

Aside from QPR, I'd suggest our three maybe look the most difficult. But still not exactly scary.

Nigel said he got a kick in training which swelled up rapidly as blood couldn't escape. Has spent 2 days in hospital getting the swelling down and will not be going to Uruguay. Clyne's deadleg was from the Everton game and he is out of u21 match, but not as bad as Gaston.

Normally, International breaks are a total turn off for me, but this one's timing was excellent. Get well soon everybody.

Gate 28,004 today. Low because of Sunday match on TV...suppose the Sky money more than made up for it. Disappointing, but can't complain as I was one who didn't want to travel across on my only day off.

That's be honest none of our defenders are Prem class, Fonte is just coping with it better atm.

Well, it's all been said, except I just wanted to commend Jason Puncheon for the most superb first-touch this afternoon. It wasn't the best I have seen him play for us in terms of effectiveness but the ball came at him from all angles and he just nudged it into exactly the right position for the next pass/run. Outstanding.

Having seen MOTD, Schwarzer's dive was almost as good as Suarez's for that disallowed goal. Puncheon might have brushed his foot, and that goal should really have stood in my opinion.

Didn't get the luck today did we! Late equaliser notwithstanding...

Could easily have been down to 10 men on a couple of occasions though. Swings and roundabouts.

Do you mean Sidwell ;) 2-0 up and playing against 10 men? Me thinks we got the bad draw when it came to luck as we would then be out of sight by the time Morgan and Maya were sent off!!!

Well there is a case for that yes. But also about a second before Fulham conceded the free kick that led to our goal, Yoshida clearly fouled one of their players, so Fulham might be pretty bitter about that equaliser. I think it's fair to say that a lot would have been different if the ref had got everything right. It would have been a totally different game really.

indeed, just playing deveil's advocate really.

Hope one of those works in our favour soon though. 2-0 up against 10 men would have been a great break for us today.

Seems odd that we would not have a full back on the bench today. Is Shaw hurt? I think we need to have a CB and FB on the bench every game. Honestly with Yoshida out of position, Jos having a hell of time at the moment and no Gaston, I'd say a draw is good.

If some dude thrust his butt into my groin like that I'd be very annoyed! It was a foul on the GK and it's pure bias if you disagree!

But Clyne? Leaving Clyne out for Guly was a stupid decision.

Illness was unspecified, but Adkins said he was very sick. Probably a virus (serious one, not man flu:smile:) and modern medicine now knows you must allow a full recovery period and not rush back too soon.

Ooh PTF, I wear red and white tinted lenses, and even I thought that Punch sneakily stuck his leg out. Having watched it back, correct decision for me. I was more miffed that Rickie swung his left peg shot straight at the keeper with the back post gaping. I was always taught to shoot across he keeper; I have a very high bar set for Rickie becasue he is good enough to bury those.
