Just want to gauge current opinion on Hughes and how many on here dont want him sacked yet - im sure that is the minority. Vote on CURRENT opinion only, so if you want to give him until November like me then vote Hughes In!
If you wait until November then you will be favourites for relegation and in danger of being in a dire situation overall for the club, especially considering how big your squad is.
oh sorry oslo, didnt remember that poll. Well I guess a new poll on current opinion won't hurt either.
Our squad isnt big - its 25 players - loads of clubs have the full 25. Last season we stayed up (albeit only just) after sacking Warnock in January - so november seems a realistic time frame to me
You have a uneven squad, a full squad of 25 yet your defence is hopeless, regardless of your players all being fit, that’s poor planning and one of the reasons you lack any sort of organisation. It seems bizarre your manager trys to be cautious and defensive with a hopeless defence, that should tell you the guy doesn't have a clue.
I agree it is uneven - too heavy in midfield - I said that before the season started. But we do have decent defenders Bosingwa, Nelsen, Mbia etc.. just that we have not had a settled back four at all - something crucial to keeping clean sheets. Even man city are struggling to do that this season.
I want stability at our club and I think it would be wrong to sack Hughes after 7 games. I don't understand the playing of Park and SWP over Hoillet but would like to think Hughes believe it gives the likes of Hill and Onouha more cover and if we had two full backs playing it would be a different choice. Its seems Ferdinand and Hill were awful today and that cant be blamed on Mark Hughes. Until we get a settled back line we are going to struggle. Thank god for the international break.
Sorry, I can't vote. I don't think Hughes is right for us and I'm pretty sure he'll be gone before Xmas, but I just can't bring myself to vote him out after only 7 games. A complete contradiction I know, but it just seems a step back to the bad old days. If only Hughes wasn't so stubborn. With this squad he could have done well.
Stability is essential. I have never thought that MH is the right man for us, but sacking managers willy nilly is not the answer. If we are in the bottom three in November, then, yes, he has to go.
In, just, but he's hanging by a thread. Hughes has to pick up at least 10 pts from the next 5 games though (by Nov 17th). QPR V Everton (Sun 21 Oct 16:00) - 3 pts Arsenal V QPR (Sat 27 Oct 15:00) - 0 pts QPR V Reading (Sun 4 Nov 13:30) - 3 pts Stoke V QPR (Sat 10 Nov 15:00) - 1 pt QPR V Southampton (Sat 17 Nov 15:00) - 3 pts Man Utd V QPR (Sat 24 Nov 15:00) - 0 pts Sunderland V QPR (Tue 27 Nov 19:45) - 1 pt
More likely QPR V Everton (Sun 21 Oct 16:00) - 0 pts Arsenal V QPR (Sat 27 Oct 15:00) - 0 pts QPR V Reading (Sun 4 Nov 13:30) - 1 pts Stoke V QPR (Sat 10 Nov 15:00) - 0 pt QPR V Southampton (Sat 17 Nov 15:00) - 1 pts Man Utd V QPR (Sat 24 Nov 15:00) - 0 pts Sunderland V QPR (Tue 27 Nov 19:45) - 0 p and well adrift at the bottom.
If we really only have 4 points at the end of November, even Fernandes will have to see sense surely? I actually think we may get 5 from those games.....we'd still be rooted though I reckon.
Well if your points assessment proves correct over the next 7 games I shall be well and truly depressed, but if that is the case, I hope Mark Hughes has the honour to resign his post, if he has not been shown the door by then.
Well I must say, I am quite surprised at the current standing of the poll - 33 saying in and 21 saying out. I thought those saying in would be in the minority.
