I might have known Gerrard would be responsible for another awful second half performance Funnily enough I was wondering whether I'd see it on the first page or second I looked at. It's a team game lads and basically it was another awful second half performance from the lot of them (Wisdom and Sterling aside although even Sterling can't do much against a team camped on its own goal line. Scapegoating seems to have been the name of the game on here for well over a year now and you lads just keep switching from one target to the next and never step back and look at the bigger picture.
Back 5 did well, our attack was poor. Scapegoating aside, Gerrard was well below par from his usual standards as he has been for most of the season. Stoke set themselves up well, they narrowed our options when looking for a pass. The only real chances came when Suarez thought '**** this' and took players on. Our movement off the ball when in possession was poor, but our closing down was good and we intercepted a lot of balls...but Stoke are hardly renowned for their passing are they?
You're right about the back 5 apart from the crazy heart attack balls BR insists on them playing (memo...this is The Prem not La Liga). Movement was frankly awful and watching us going forward whilst all our attackers are trotting out of the box is never going to get us anywhere.
