Didn't look at all suspicious to me. As for the game as a whole, we had a lot of chances and didn't score them. Lambert and Rodriguez could both have won the game for us. Defensively we looked shaky again, but it was a bit of a reshuffled back four which might explain it. I don't know what's happened to Hooiveld, he must have broken a mirror in the off-season...
Exactly and although I normally complain about international breaks messing up the season, this one has come at the right time for us.
Hi Guys. Poor quality game from both sides, I thought - but exciting. 2-2 probs fair result....just. As Schad said Schneiderlin was lucky not to get a second yellow, Maya could have got the same just a few minutes later. Both teams were lacking key players, so never going to go completely to plan. Sincere good wishes for the rest of your season, I hope you stay up. Ramirez back should help and I thought Guly looked pretty scary. Bairdy is a top guy, real utility player, very popular with us.
My thoughts: - Clattenberg was the worst ref ever - Guly was the right move when he came on and played very well - Fox had a good game too, looked more comfortable - Yoshida isn't a right back - Fonte is a defensive beast (Who would've thought it after last season) ADKINS IS OUR KING COYR!
Agreed. I am still confident - probably the worst we have played so far, and we still get a point. I keep saying it - we are not one of the worst teams in this league, and teams that score at the rate we do don't get relegated. I am sure the guys are scouting round for central defenders, and come January we will grab one or two.
Hooiveld has been playing ****ing awful, today shows how light weight we are in squad depth. On the whole the game was poor, both teams looked like they didn't want to get out of bed. And Rodriguez played on the wing again.
Thought Fulham were excellent second half; we looked very scrappy and couldn't play our game. Lallana disappeared for most of the second half, and our lineup at the end didn't look far off our Championship one. Yoshida looked very uncomfortable and right back, and for me Lambert was wasted 'in the hole'; I don't think we can play Lambert and Rodriguez together unless we're playing 442.
Adkins is not close to losing his job at all! Keep hearing muppets on Solent texting in saying the time has come for him to go... Ye ok, coz it was obviously his fair that Jos decided to slide the ball in...
Joe & Jenny have it spot on. We would have won if we had gaston and our usual back four. Although they were without Berbatov... the return fixture should be a good game
Bound to be first season up - It's hard enough getting a good enough first 11 when promoted, the backup is likely to be light for a season or two.
Yep, like others, I thought with Ramirez the game would of been won with that extra bit of guile. Oh well, least we didn't loose, but the game was there for the taking if only our strikers had tucked a couple away. Where was Clyne (haven't read through posts), I heard on the tv that Gaston has a dead leg.
We'll you do expect a back up RB at least, problem is with us we have two injury prone ones behind Clyne.
Indeed. And if there wasn't such a thing as a transfer window, this weakness in the defence would have been solved long ago.
Interesting you should say that, because I thought he was oddly lenient to us today. Schneiderlin and Yoshida should probably both have had second yellow cards.
I thought the ref was ok today, got a few the wrong way around, but always looked to let the game flow I thought.
Really do not like to see Rickie playing deep behind JRod. Why move our best striker from his best position? JRod should be used instead of Rickie if injured or knackered, not as well Rather have another midfielder or even play Guly in the hole but NOT Rickie! Don't waste our best assets!
