So no context, no knowledge if its humorous or sarcastic, or a retort to a keyboard warrior, and to remind you, absolutely no context, but you're gonna condemn him anyhow? Daily Mail readers I'm guessing.
I have to disagree with you on that one, as I believe it is used exactly as intended. I don't give a toss how big a pratt folk want to make themselves look, but I do believe that our highly paid footballers should keep well clear of these sites.
He's said there that it's aimed at keyboard warriors having a go at him. Is there a problem with him telling them where to go? Why shouldn't he be able to say anything back just because he's a sportsman? If it was a celebrity or something everyone would be laughing and praising him. Also I don't get the argument that because he's not a good player or achieved anything he can't say something back. Would it be different if it was Messi? McLean, Stewart and Garcia used to get **** like this on twitter and they always had a go back. I also suspect that if it was a black player and the warrior had said something racist it would all be different... If this is your mate having a go at him Newland, I'd be pretty embarrassed of them...
Completely missing the point. He CAN have a go back in a constructive way but he should never, ever say 'you keep p[aying my wages' in a disgraceful condescending manner basically labelling all fans mugs and if you cant see that then Im stunned.
For anyone who thinks what Bradley said is fine, imagine if he was a waiter at a decent restraunt and a customer complained, and he turned round and said over the loudspeaker "you ****ing ******s, just keep coming back for dinner so you pay my wages", how do you think that would go down? It's the same principle.
That's a stupid metaphor. But going with that anyhow, if one of your customers started screaming and yelling at you, right in your face, about how **** you are and how **** your food, service and restaurant was, you'd just take it would you? Or have a quiet little civilised word? HIs response was spot on and funny. Getting het up about that on FB is stupid beyond words. If that was my mate being all clever, I'd tell them to stop acting ****ish.
He's a ****ing idiot and he should be fined two weeks wages to remind him what his responsibilities are.
I thought you're supposed to be a happy clapper? Anyhow, it's unprofessional, if a waiter had a go at a customer like that he'd lose his job, no doubt whatsoever. Same goes for any walk of life outside sport, you have to keep your cool. I've been in restraunts when customers lay into staff just like how you said, staff remain calm and try to fix the problem. Sportsmen get away with murder and their attitudes stink, hardly giving a good impression is he?
Genuinley, without any hint ot irony or superiority, i cannot comprehend how ANYONE other than possibly his family or friends could defend him here. It is, and I dont use the word lightly, a disgrace.
I dont want to defend him. I dont know Sonny Bradley. But i imagine he is young cocky not that bright academically and good at football-but not Lionel Messi. So he is allowed by the club to have Twitter. I hate Twitter, i wouldnt use it and dont understand anyone who does or reads what a star has for breakfast. But if i was his age and all my mates are on it and the club lets them go on it, then i reckon i would be on it. Maybe he is an arrogant tool who started it or maybe he just defended himself like a young kid would- Ive got a better car/job/more money than you. No player should be allowed on Twitter FACT. Oh and waiters usually get you back by putting spunk/piss/snot in your food!! Its not like he threw a game is it!!
Ok all the waiter/other jobs comments...seriously get a grip. The correct analogy here would be that waiter having some moron come up and start shouting in his face about how **** his service/food etc etc is, while he's not at work. Outside of work you'd take that would you? Some of you take offence at the slightest thing on a forum ffs, so I can't see you standing for that in actual real life. Unless of course you are genuinely just gobshites on the internet and are meek and mild in the outside world, in which case, apologies. The keyboard warrior was a ****ish troll, Sonny on his own FB page can deal with ****ers like that how he sees fit. We all work for someone and represent someone, it fail to see what the **** his reaction to a ****tard are to do with anyone on here. Personally I'd just restrict access to my FB page, apply appropriate security settings and not allow pondlife like that to send me messages, but if he chooses not to, thats up to him.
the correct way to deal with SB then would be for his club to name call him on a social network site and that be it . So far its stayed in the virtual world , before the old media got onto the bandwagon of the internet - it was a virtual world of binary bullshit Today for too many people its real life and its played out under the internet microscope. Like what Cole said about the FA ... he was bang on ! so why is everyone throwing their arms in the air about that too ?
