Really hard one this, we won but don't think we played well by any account.

McLean - wasn't on long but changed the game, gave us a different dimension and did everything right.

Aluko - Was quiet but did wriggle his way into some decent positions, set up some lovely chances and nice one two to lay McLean off for the goal.

Elmohammady - Sloppy at times but kept driving us forward, made some good runs and put a few decent balls in. Shocking free kick though.

Wouldn't mind signing their Antonio, he was a handful. He was by far MOTM from both sides.

No one played bad today, but I don't think anyone was particularly outstanding. Overall a solid team performance and we deserved the 3 points.

Tough one to call today - I thought we started off fairly poorly overall but gradually got better as the match went on. Definitely deserved the win in the end.

    1. Faye mom for me, an absolute rock at centre back, won everything, nothing that Weds did down the centre came to anything, their only opportunities came from out wide.
    2. Olofinjana, class on the ball, made a real difference in the middle
    3. McLean, only on for 15 but won everything in the air, esp quality for his goal, won the header then ran off aluko, cool finish. Brilliant.

Special mentions for Simpson for pure work rate and Quinn too, thought Dawson was an utter liability and Rosenior had a shocker of a first half followed by a great second half.

Some Wednesday fans on their forum saying Quinn had a great game, and a few saying he's a piggy **** who spat in the direction of their stand behind the opposite goal <laugh>

    1) McKenna
    2) McShane
    3) Quinn

Under different circumstances I would also add McLean, cos of his impact on the game, but surely in a game where there were few bad performances, how can someone who was on the pitch for 20 mins get MoM.

Footnote: I am a big fan of Dawson, but I am glad that he only has a one year extension

I don't think anyone was poor but no one was great, but I thought in his 15 minutes McLean stood out more than anyone else managed to in the full 90. I'm not one of these kcfm texters who votes for the person who scores the winning goal I just genuinely think McLean did more than anyone else.

Also thought Faye was a complete rock, he made amends for his howler on Tuesday.

It's really hard to pick a MOM. The game was very scrappy and we looked static throughout up until the last 25 mins. Over the last few weeks we've lacked (in places) the clinical finishing we had in the opening few games. I'd like to see our aerial game improving as we cant see to get on the end of crosses.

    MOM: McKenna or Aluko

On Tiger Travel coach 2, Quinn and McShane were tied on votes, with Rosenior in third. Olofinijana and Faye in the next two positions.

i am a big Olifinjana fan but I feel today was not one of his best. his tackling let him down but it was great to see him whoooping it up at the fans at the end!!

Most of my Wednesday mates reckon the Olofinjana was our best player today
