Generally 10 games give teams an indication on how the rest of the season will pan out. I have been particularly impressed with our attacking play, and the interchanging of positions with our attacking players. The defence clearly needs a bit of work, but genuinely buoyed by what I've seen to date. I think a top 6 finish is easily achievable, I haven't seen any team that is a stand out in this league. Even rudderless Blackburn seem to have hit the buffers. I'd persevere with the 5-3-2 particularly at home, but away from home I'd play a 4-4-2.
Bitches please. I'm sticking to my view that the end of this season is going to see some hearts broken through goal difference and 1 or 2 points.
I think if we can get the defending right - the rest will take care of itself. I think we need another striker to cover droughts and Fryatt's absence. Another midfielder (maybe) another centre half (loan). Priority would be a centre half and striker - midfielder a nice to have.
Lack of striking options will cost us unless we can get Proschwitz to contribute before the end of the year
At this rate we will have 64pts after 40 games - with that total, winning 3 of our last 6 games should get us a play-off place
I'm afraid I think we'll fall short, we've played some great football in parts, but we lack depth and there's some really good teams in this league this season.
I believe with a couple of loan additions and a bit of guile, we can be up there with the other teams.
Obviously quite new around here so let me tell you how it works, OLM has made 17 and a half thousand posts on here. If he says we're not getting promoted, then we're not getting promoted. Hope this helps
Cos it made me laugh tbh. I don't see how some fans think they're better than others because they live in Hull, or have a private box, or stand up, or sing, and the snobbery around foam hands and clapping, while happy....just seemed a good idea! A fan is a fan.
Ha ha - I don't get the EGD Wright philosophy of fan segmentation either! A fan is a fan and it's all revenue for the club. Rather than in fighting, it should be directed against all the locals who flood our villages and towns with Man Utd shirts - most of which have probably never been to Old Trafford.
I think if we can stay in the hunt, be luckier with injuries, then our depth issues can be covered off in January, maybe sooner.
we don't need your sort, you're not a real fan.. were were you when we lost 4-0 to Stockport County in 1974?
