I'm not a betting man really. Like the occasional flutter when I see a bit of value so I went onto William Hill and saw that for a tenner I could get 95 quid return. Almost choked on my beer, rushed to get the money on and did it as the second half started and I was thinking I may have messed up, but no Ipswich/loach came good and I am :emoticon-0102-bigsm

In fact the last time I bet was Leeds away at Man u in the cup and they won 1-0. I bet a tenner then and got 105 back.

    Thanks Ipswich. <cheers>:emoticon-0115-inlov:emoticon-0110-tongu

    JWM I'm with you mate.

It's tough at the moment for both teams, miss the derby games big style wish we were in Championship to be honest really dislike all the pressure and sensationalism.

I felt sorry for you guys really tonight, movement was good JET looked lively and your midfield looked good when passing. BUT to much space left and marking a bit poor.

So Kemp, did you bet that your team would have had a win by now?

No, I only bet when I see good value.

Don't let emotigons et in the way just think about making money. It only happens that I know your form that is why I bet.

Also, bookies would not have a bet like that I don't think. It's all in play these days which is good in one way because football is a game of two halves.

Kemp as you are bit of an expert on the old betting... What have you bet on your teams prospects for this season and are you relaxed about the position you find yourselves in? And do you know Chopra and how much does he owe?

    JWM,

I don't like the premier league I have said it on a post 2 days ago, it has too much sensationalism and there is too much pressure on the players. What you see is players that are playing in fear all the time and it is not nice.

Relaxed? No. But we were in a world of scrap in league 1 and being in the prem has sorted out our debt problem, but I don't like it. I can't afford to take my kids to the irrelevant cup games anymore as spurs on is 30 quid an adult.

Overall I won't be devistated if we go down as I like the honesty of the leagues, there is too much at stake in the prem.

    Good post mate!

I have this horrible feeling that Norwich will survive and Ipswich will go down! We are long overdue a relegation and I reckon we are heading for League 1 if the board do not act now. The big difference between us and you is that I don't think we have the resiliance to come straight back up!

And Chops is a different prospect.

Betting is like being an alcoholic, trust me I know! If you have a bit then you want more.

They key is to control it and bet when you see value. It's never a "dead cert" but it can be fun and add an extra dimension to a game you are watching. Don't bet what you can't afford to loose.

Chops is different, he cannot stop himself. He has got used to the buzz of winning and can't let it go hence the horse fixing etc...

    Jwm,

Nor did we? You need that Suffolk punch!! You need to get together as a town and community and you need to pack out your stadium to survive if you do go down.

The hard times is when it counts the most and I went almost everyweek in league 1 and championship. Prices are too much now which is what I dislike the most.

People of Ipswich Town need to get their arses down to the stadium and pack that place out and create an atmosphere, that's what's really needed.
