Not seen much of scheckter yet but Moore played well. reckon we need someone with better finishing to challenge Graham in Jan. totally agree.
Going out so just a few quick comments. GREAT fightback!! Well done the lads and justice was definitely not done today. We were three goals better than them and they know it. Four great saves from their keeper and two penalty shouts turned down - one a pretty good shout, the second nailed on. Terrible from the officials (but what's new). We need to keep playing our football, just a little more accuracy with our passing and we'll be looking really good. One thing we are missing from last season, though, is the urgency to win the ball back when we've lost it. Not much to fix and a lot of positives to hang our hopes on. Well done lads. Not the result we wanted, certainly not the one we deserved but a brilliant come back. STID.
Reading fan in peace. You were robbed of two points today, you really should have won that game. We went two up against the run of play and the stats clearly show how dominant you were. Good luck for the rest of the season.
How we didnt win that i ll never know - definately 2 points dropped but we should take a lot of pride in our 2nd half performance (and in the 1st half we did ok too) that was a real boost after our poor recent performances. Those criticising Laudrup should get a grip, weve lost a lot of key players, injuries or transfers and are going to need time to gel, the team weve got looks good, Ki and Michu are quality and Routledge looks like a new player and Hernandez showed promise coming on. Ive still got faith in Graham but I reckon Moore should start against Wigan, he was awesome today. Dissapointed we didnt win that but heartened by our comeback, that was a big confidence booster.
Cheers Suffolk, but you did seem very good on the counter break, we were not at our best first half, and Vorm's mistake gave you the first goal against run of play, but good to see us fight back second half! Glad also to see that some Jacks are wising up to why I wanted Ki to replace De Guzman some weeks back, the boy is streets ahead of De Guzman, and should now have nailed his position in our starting 11, Davies still bothers me, and I hope we give the boy a rest, and bring in the Dutchman at LB soon. Still plenty of work to do before our team really gel, but the signs are starting to show!.....................
Cheers for that. It does yet again prove that the only thing that counts is goals. Look at the Man City Dortmund match in the week - Dortmund destroyed them but the match ended in a draw. However - it's certainly given me hope for the future as we looked excellent for a lot of the match. Good luck with the restnof your season also.
It's a tough old place to be, one game at a time, and must be viewed as a Wembley final! Sorry................
Davies is a problem without doubt. Nothing against him because je is learning in the hardest league in the world, his passing is very often terrible, his positioning is suspect also and this is pulling ash out of position,he never follows his runners either and that has cost us a couple of goals recently, basically he is showing his inexperience and its not his fault but he needs dropping for a couple of games just so that he can take stock and recharge,he Will be a decent player in time but Not sure if we have it now though!
I think Reading have looked much better than QPR and Norwich so far this season, all the best for the rest of the season SuffolkRoyal (omitting the obvious fixture!)
To be fair he did put some decent crosses towards the end but yeah he needs a breather, let's see how Teindali fares.
On the subject of Davies, how come he's got in front of Jazz?? In my opinion, I would choose Jazz over Davies!..............
Agree Steve. Im in no way making this boy the excuse of our failings but its clear to see the confidence in ash is not There and it is making his game suffer as a result. Ben is learning the hard way and that can either make you or break you,his lack of adventure Will become more apparent if his confidence takes a knock and our full back play is pivotal to how we play. Anyway,a great fightback by the players and im proud of the 2nd half performance, lets be honest ,we were totally mugged today!
I always thought jazz under sousa was primed to become a great utility full back, i rate him much higher than davies as jazz has some bite in his tackles, of course i dont see them train ! Thought jazz was injured at the moment anyway.
Thanks Norway. Didn't realize he was injured. He played against crawley the other week. Did he pick up- knock then?
Yankee- ive no idea if he is fit or not,i thought he was injured a while back but i lose track These days, sorry to confuse you
Great performance except during the period after they scored their first goal, our chances went begging and without a sublime goal keeping performance it should have been a stroll for us today ,if we had taken the lead I believe it would have been all over by half time but once Reading scored they grew in confidence kept us pegged back and started to play a bit them selves. second half we were rampant , I'd love to see Ki playing further up field because when he has the ball at his feet he don't half use it well .Ash looked like he was getting back to his old reliable self ( maybe due to the chants from the East stand ) ,Mitchu in the second half seemed to lack concentration and went into missing but then seemed to find another gear when he realised we had a chance of all three points. I had us down for 1 a 3-1 win but at half time I'd half taken the draw, great character shown by the team and thats whats been missing lately imo
