It is bound to happen, unless Alonso can start further up. Hamilton is needed to challenge Vettel.
If Hamilton gets ahead of Button then it will be fine, if not there will be some orders.

He has no chance at all now (the best he can hope for is about fith with Alonso and Vettel still ahead of him extending championship their advantage) and is off to Merc next year so he deserves nothing.

    • Ferrari off the pace
    • Faulty Ferrari wind tunnel

I'm suprised after how well they developed to get back on the pace in mid-season that they've let themselves slipp off again. Your man is going to need some luck.

This race is going to be jam packed with orders and controversy me thinks. Will Button be told to move over, will he not (as Ham is leaving)...?
Will Kamui have to start further back, making Alonso move forward..?
Will Vettel finish without any reliability issues that normally strike when he is in a good position..?
Will Webber be told to make life hard for people behind?

Are Ferrari off the pace? I think they have been sitting behind Mclaren and Red Bull all season.

    It can always rain!!
Alot of the tracks coming are supposed to be wet. Ferrari are alot better in the wet.
And, if he does start 4th tomorrow (we can only hope) his race pace is better than quali, he should get Perez and maybe Webber if he cracks again. So he might end up 2nd.

He won here from 6th in 2006 after a terrible qualifying. There's still hope.

Alonso said he wants to spend the the rest of his career there, but how long until he actually wins something? In terms of titles.
He needs a stronger teammate beside him to back him up, more WCC points, more money..new wind tunnels and so on.

But he doesn't want that, and the rest of the Ferrari team cannot see this.

How the hell is Seb going to the stewards, it will be nothing more than a reprimand I don't think Fernando mentioned it on the interview.

I am off to get some brekkie, will be back in a mo.

Kamui has been cleared, Seb supposedly impeded Alonso into turn 16 during the yellow flag period.

Would be good for entertainment if he was punished, but if the top three on the grid end up being 2nd,4th and 5th its a bit of a farce.

6th really isn't that bad a starting point for Alonso. Barring any unforeseen problems to the Ferrari, which I'm highly doubting, I think he can score a solid amount of points. It is worrying that Vettel is getting into form now at the end, seeing as he is the closest person to catching Alonso, but don't give up Forza! Alonso can still take the WDC!

In other news, really stoked to see that Kobayashi will start from the 2nd row on home soil. It might still be a long shot, but I'm really hoping he gets the victory. That'd be amazing.
