Based on the Decision by the FA on Terry I can now explain to my son that the use of the word Negro is more punishable (and hence technically worse) than calling someone a "Bl**k C**t".

I can also explain that it doesn't matter how vicious and malicious you are (as evident on camera) it is viewed as less offensive than delivering an alternative racist comment! I am embarrassed in our game authorities and I am still personally offended in both the words and the manner in which Terry delivered the abusive comments on LIVE TV!

For Terry to receive only a 4 game ban compared to Suarez's 8, is frightening!

    Up

    Morning Smithers,
    P
That is indeed a quandary, I really have 'washed my hands' with football, especially after tbe (2) Olympics.

Terry is a horrible person, would love to see him on a Rugby pitch!! See how hard he is then, I also think that it was a national disgrace that such a person was ever considered to be Captain of his country.

Take your lad to the nearest Rugby club!!

Back to your point, it really portrays a shining example to the youth.of today, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever

    I'm lost for words Nicky!

Mangers get a 4 match bans or worse for questioning the ref!
Barton got 12 games for violent conduct and let's remember that Wilko got 3 games for swinging at Ballotelli - if you can call I that?

4 games is a disgrace! As a white person (not that it matters) I was -and still am - offended by what and HOW Terry said those things!

Its not vey often I agree with Barton, but alteast he saying what anu human with an ounce of common sense is thinking!

Totally agree mate, what's a weeks wages to Terry ?

If Chelsea had anything about them, they would ban him for the same AND 4 weeks wages!!

    Course they will!!

To be honest Smithers my 8 yr old Grandson get swarn at in the local play ground/park. By teenagers. When he asks me why they do it I just tell him it's not right to do that... He has started to play football Under 10s for his school and I'm pleased to say that at such a young age all those playing with and against him are a credit to their parents.

Minimum contact is allowed and I have yet to hear ANY young lad question a ref's decision or a parent as I attend most of the games he plays in. Here's hoping that the youngsters today will grow up understanding that it's totally and utterly wrong to abuse another. Whatever colour of skin they may have.

Is it society as a whole? Is it just taken for granted by (some individuals) that swearing abusing another by using foul and or abusive language I guess the answer must be yes. Terry just comes across as a thug, and thinks he can get away with anything. Going on the ban (which by the way I think is a JOKE) He has got away with it.

As usual the FA have messed up AGAIN. For the record I believe Terrys wages are around 140K a WEEK. Disgusted personally that he was even allowed to play today.

    Potts, re Terry.

I am disappointed but not surprised that he played today. Chelsea are defending him and seem to think that what went on in that game against QPR was acceptable. Some of the media also appear to siding with him as did Avram Grant last week. Yes, he was cleared by a court of law but only because there was not enough evidence to prove conclusively what and to whom he said it. To claim that he was merely repeating what he thought Ferdinand had said is unbelievable IMO and I do also think the judge thought that Terry did direct his remarks to Ferdinand.

I think Chelsea ought to have acted against Terry but I doubt that will happen now.

    PP,

If the club were going to act he wouldn't still be at Chelsea now.

    Smither's
NOW i have read that link... WHY the HELL did'nt they do a Suarez on Terry? He's not only a big headed Chunt, a bully boy he's lied through his teeth it seems.

It gets worse the more I see/hear things concerning the Oh so bloody hollier than though, our EX ENGLAND Capt. WHY Chelsed have not banned him is beyond words. I think? the reason Liverpool supported Suarez was because of how severe the punishment was. AND, they did accept it. It seem's that Chelsea FC are happy to let Terry carry on regardless. That fine means NOTHING to Terry. And EIGHT GAME BAN would have not helped CHELSEA F.C. would it?

As I said in my post above, it seemed incredible that he was merely repeating what he thought AF had claimed Terry had said to him in the first place. Terry called him a 'FBC' as an insult (remember that Chelsea lost that game and were reduced to 9 men). I can understand that the courts could not prove the case beyond doubt. However, every man and his dog could work out what went on so the FA inquiry was right to bring a case against him. Pity that they didn't ban him for 8 matches on a par with Suarez.

What's more is that Ashley Cole has now issued a tweet (with expletives) criticising Terry's punishment. They ought to ban Cole as well for his outburst.

Of course they should ban Cole. But they won't will they? The guy is a total waste of space off the pitch... and a first class idiot.

Going off topic rather, but still in a way related; I'm of the opinion Twitter and Facebook should be shutdown. They cause so much trouble, they are either abused by idiots spreading their vile ideologies, or used to destroy people for things they've said in anger.

I'm not defending Cole, I'm just fed up of hearing about Tweets in the news, and the majority of the stories are ridiculous over-reactions. In the case of posting racist comments or "extreme views" people have a right to be offended and action should be taken, but 90% of the time, if you get offended by someone's Twitter, you should just close your browser and stop being so ****ing soft, just like if a TV program offends you, turn it off, don't watch the rest and then write a letter to the Daily Mail.

What's anoyed me this week is this.. Liverpool fans saying Huth is a thug? I do agree he was a little lucky to not see a red card but...

Someone on their board said " Suarez BIT an opponent whilst playing in another league overseas" So, he not just a diving cheat, he bites too!

I thought only little girls did that, not men! Pft.

Ah there you are Nicky been looking for you. What an apt thread this is. There is your good self talking about racism and then using the words "diving dago". Par for the course with you though to be insulting.

Reason I looked you up is to ask you on your own board why you feel theneed to come onto the Argyle board and have a pop at people for absolutely nothing that I can see. I'm "ignorant" and "Inbred" according to you yet as far as I know we have never met. Do you have something wrong with your head regarding us? Has Plymouth ever done anything to you? Did a Sailor frighten you one dark night? Because I can't fathom it out myself. The only connection with Plymouth and Stoke that I can think of anytime recently is Pulis left us and joined Stoke. Apart from that nothing.

You seem to think Terry would learn to control his mouth if he went onto a Rugby field. Well that's from a keyboard warrior who hides 300 miles away and does his mouthing off on the internet. If you are coming to Plymouth let me know and perhaps we could have a chat face to face and discuss my inbred leanings.

Sorry for the intrution the rest of you Stokies and having had my say to the big boy I will leave you in peace. Best of luck for your season.

NB .....remember me............the person you insulted last year on the Argyle board.......the supermod sorted you out and you came back grovelling an apology.....which obviously you have broken, you probably can't even keep your word to yourself....so sad.

sensiblegreeny in your words is a "plymothian plastico".........you are the only one who calls him that nicky......I can only assume that your going through a hard time and need to hit out at others........have you run out of friends on your own board ........and have come back to Argyle's board to start your stirring again.....obviously a man who cannot keep his word to a supermod is a dangerous loose cannon........you are upset that we cannot be bothered to report you again aren't you.....so you just hit out in all directions.

I do apologies to all true Stoke fans for coming on your board and mentioning this......but nicky is not slow to stir on the Plymouth board......so I thought a visit on your board, just like sensible has done would be in order.
