Ran really well in the already hot maiden at Ascot which won by Snow King and had Telescope 2nd, and the 7th winning since. Brian Meehan horses invariably step up on their debuts and I wonder if we might see a similar run to Most Improved last year, who was a promising 2nd before routing opposition on 2nd start.
He actually started to rally again towards the line and snatched 6th, unlike the race description saying he 'faded'. My arse.
3.35 Ascot: ARNOLD LANE 18/1 e.w
Nicely weighted and I think has the ability within him to be a listed/Group 3 horse. Really interested in his chances and has won nicely on soft ground before. Looked overpriced to me.
