As it's a bit quiet, thought I'd maybe bring a bit of humour to the board. A guy selling ties from a stall on the Quay side was offering them at the bargain price of 2/6d (12.25p) A Scotsman asked him for a blue one with white stripes and the stall holder gave him a yellow one with green stripes. Here, said the Scotsman, "I asked for a blue one with with white stripes". "I know said the stall holder, but they're all the same but different". The Scotsman walked away shaking his head and grumbling. An Irishman who thought 2/6d was a bargain price for a tie walked up and asked fpr a green tie with white stripes on and was given an orange one with red stripes on. "Here said the Irishman, ths isn't what I asked for". "I know said the stall holder, but they're all the same but different". Minutes later a Geordie walked by and thought he'd have one of these bargain ties and asked for a black one with white stripes on it. The stall holder gave him a red one with white stripes on it. The Geordie put his money in the stall holders hand and walked off with his tie. Here said the stall holder, this is only a penny you've given me". I know said the Geordie, but "It's all the same but different". And I know this story to be true because I was that Geordie.
only ever owned 2 ties One was my school tie and the second one, is the one I'm using more often than not these days sadly my black tie
Got a houseful of ties if you ever want to borrow one. The ones I've got left over from the stall I had.
Love a good tie me. Got a massive collection for work. the colour coordination possibilities are endless, especially when you factor in the red pair and black pair of suspenders as well please log in to view this image
