Yeah it's real, sky have picked up on it http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ds-to-John-Terry-report-with-Twitter-outburst
Would not surprise me to see the worlds best left back(still - imo) also retire from England duties. Well done FA. Who is next, Rooney ?
Apparently Alex Bruce has now switched from Eire to NI in a fit of pique. The word in the car parks was Woy had heard good things about Bruces'son and was considering a call up.........
Take it Ashley is ****ed then? What an absolute farce our national team is becoming. Before long, we're gonna have a better XI of retired/ruled out players than the XI playing.
The previous squad that faced Ukraine contained mostly players that were either in the Championship or in the reserves for their parent club. Jack Butland spent the season at Cheltenham, Adam Lallana was a Championship player and Livermore, Sterling, Kelly, Henderson, Caulker and Welbeck can hardly be described as 'experienced' players. While they were getting call ups, Nathan Dyer and Danny Graham helped Swansea to their highest finish in years, Grant Holt was the second highest goalscorer in the PL and still got nothing. There's working on a squad for the future, which is fine. But we need players that are **** hot now, not in 5 years time.
The fact he hasn't scored yet this season is why he wasn't called up for games at the end of last season when he was the 2nd highest scoring english player in the PL?
But his complaint is he didnt get picked this season. For a squad that only lasts 2 games there arent going to be any more than 16 players used, so having 3 or 4 young kids in is doing more good than harm surely?!
No it isn't. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19830762 He's quite clearly been asked his thoughts on not being called up now, and said he wasn't expecting to be because he gave up on ever being called up after he was ridiculously left out of the Belgium and Norway games at the end of last season. He's then complaining about other players missing out now, not himself.
I've read it wrong then, I thought it was this seasons squads he was complaining about. His form so far proves Hodgson was right anyway!
