Those vids are really intrusive, you need to download an Ad Blocker, I expect someone on here can recommend a safe one.
I have used an adblocker on occasion, but from my experience, they generally only work brilliantly on Linux, in my opinion. I'm using one of my Windows PCs at the moment, and I just found it particularly annoying. I must be really rotten for people who don't know their way around the Internet. I use Ghostery to keep out 99% of the annoying stuff. I found that using Linux too. As afar as I'm concerned, the Echo is the loser, because I never go there unprovoked, so to speak, and it is intrusive stuff such as their news video corner that helps me to stay away. That, and the banality of their news, of course.
I use Adblock Plus on Firefox (Windows at work, Linux at home) and it works perfectly. If an advert manages to sneak through, it's easy to block it (and all similar ads) so that the miserable little thing never needs to affect your life again.
some people do seem to get their knickers in a twist about every scrap of "news" always looking for the worst possible interpretation. There were some like minging on the pompey board who were into orgasm overdrive at the prospect of problems in the west! In Sir Nigel and Nicola we trust.
Think I've used that one before, but can't remember how it coped. I'll give it another go if I get near another site that is strewn with adverts. Like http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/index.aspx for example.
Trouble is it has been a quiet week so a bit of speculation warmed us all up............ Better than looking at the rain......
Some of my schoolmates went on an English Course. some went on Maths Course, I ended up on a Damp Course.
