Stop swerving it, bottom line is there was no Dublin-Holyhead-Liverpool packages in those days, our die-hard Irish supporters roughed it on the cattle boat as they state themselves in the book. Your pathetic attempt not to accept the link i posted from a review of Irish Liverpool FC supporters book from Ireland's national broadcaster shows you for the idiot you are.
I am not swerving anything , what I am saying is you can , always have been able to go from Dublin to Holyhead/Liverpool , I am not asking nor have I mentioned packages at all , I have also never denied that Irish people came over but merely questioned (and still do) the amounts you insinuated and as of yet have not substantiated , in fact you ask me to prove it incorrect which is crazy (like making a statement then asking someone to disprove as opposed to you proving it yourself , I am sure some maths guru could provide written examples of the possibility of a time machine and yet where are they in reality ?) . We have digressed so much I am not sure where you are going but you have a fixation that Liverpool football club is Irish ? It has many Irish supporters from all side of Ireland as I have told you this before and you probably know but deny . I also asked before are you Irish but you never actually replied so I can only presume you are an Englishman longing to be Irish ? I have Irish blood as you know or dont , I am off there next month so I could get some friends and myself to chip in and bring you some back ?
Let me know when you're coming over, I'll make sure I'm not in. And you were believable right up until that last sentence when you mentioned friends.....totally overdid it with that one. Oh and the buying blood...even if its a metaphor it's sh*t. I told you: DETAILS!
I think there is some benefit to lowering prices for locals... You are not going to change someone who supports a particular club now... Most kids support the top team at the time I believe and is why teams like Liverpool, ManU etc have such big following (that's not a dig, just my opinion). If they can't get to go to games, when they are old enough and earn their own cash, they'll start going to the big games... But, if the prices were lower for their local clubs, then maybe their will be more parents able to take their children to local clubs - which after some time the children will grow affection for the club... I 've been taking some friends kids to see the Swans on and off since we were in the Championship, they are from England, and now they support the Swans... Like the post!
Oh dear, i see you're still throwing a hissyfit mummy(in-laws)boy. I asked you to return to post 78 to let you see where you went off course on the thread, the "we had fans from out of town before we were successful" and "Ireland, Lancs, Wales" parts are where you made an issue of "Ireland", you asked me to prove we did have support from there at the time in question which i did. You could be King Brian Boru for all i care mate but you are still wrong in everything you said, some wums just **** off with their tail between their legs when they get made a twat of but you just keep coming back for more.
Maybe we could meet up with him in the Schooner and buy him a few bottles of Bulmers to drown his sorrows mate.
In the 60's Liverpool was in Lancashire And there is no football team of repute bar Wrexham in North Wales Ironic that as you use that as an excuse to hit the Everton fans now Roll em up
You know **** all mummy's boy, firstly Boru was born in the province of Munster and there was no suck thing as a Jackeen in Boru's lifetime. Oh and iv'e been to Cork mate, drove there from Dublin via Wexford and Waterford, Cork's a lovely place.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzz Blackburn,Bolton,Bury,Blackpool,Wigan,St Helens,Southport,Preston etc etc were also in Lancashire you tit but people from places such as those supported LFC. Whether or not Wrexham were of repute in the 50s or 60s isn't relevant because all Welsh people don't all come there soft lad(just as in your non point in your 1st sentence) Everton's association with the other side of the river has a lot to do with Dixie and they no doubt had support from over there in the 50s and 60s so what's your point?
'asking'?, wtf are you on about. I'm informing you about stuff your mummy-in-law didn't tell you.
