The Humber Bridge Board has cut the Bridge tolls (by 50%?). Vehicle movements have increased, since, by 400%.

The SMC/the Allams could always try this at the KC, because in the case of the bridge, total revenues are up!

I think you may have gone a little over the top with that percentage increase Stan...

With the revised percentages (50% cut in prices, 7% increase in demand) you've just posted an example that tells them reducing prices would be a terrible idea as it caused a 46.5% drop in revenue for the bridge.

More fans does not necessarily mean more revenue.

I believe that, despite lower season ticket sales this year, revenue has actually increased. Is that not a sign that increasing prices actually works?

But your point you were trying to make to them was that by reducing prices to increase fans they'd increase revenues, when the opposite is the case, they've increased revenues by increasing prices despite having fewer fans.

I sit in West lower so cant see how many were in the upper, but most of the rest apart from the away bit was virtually full, looked a lot more than 15000 to me.

    Some creative accounting going on?

I'd argue that empty seats have more chance of making noise than an extra few thousand in the West/South - if it is a windy day, they might start banging.

That confused me, I thought it seemed quite full on Tuesday, I was amazed when they read out the attendance.

What's the south stand look like from afar? Since the promotion season it's always seemed full, but from last season I've noticed a lot more wind bangers about most noticeably at the bottom. Bet it looks like a post apocalocalypse barren wasteland, certainly sounds like one.

Would cheaper tickets, and more fans, really increase revenue overall when the concourse stock is over priced and pretty rubbish anyway? Plus, more fans doesn't necessarily mean more shirt sales either when more fans seem to be going dressed 'casual' now.

Towards the north and south sections of the west stand, it was very empty.... And has been all season. (Coming from my view in the East Stand)

What they should do is really look at increasing the quality of the food and drink, then offer a discount for anyone wearing that seasons shirt. Would egg more people into buying and wearing it.

Erm, the SMC do NOT set admission prices for City. That is a City management decision, the SMC merely manage the stadium.

And from my seat there is nothing dodgy going on, as I looked around on Tuesday I predicted the lowest ever league attendance.

less costs also makes a difference on profits you know. our costs had got silly and beyond control compared to our position. unfortunately, they are now at the ridiculous extreme, and in terms of back-office staff levels alone probably compare to those of a lower 3rd division club
