There will never be another Fergie, not ever in football. When Pep can walk away from the perfect set up in football it says everything myou will ever need to know about modern football. When Fergie, Wenger and Moyes to a less extent have gone the days of long term managers will be over. In a decade we will be praising managers for doing over 3 seasons at 1 club.

 

Sad but true, Mourinho could have done that as well I feel. I wouldn't want to move around all the time ( if not fired) I would want some stability. Rafa should have been that for us but he lost his marbles a bit with H&G and then they did thier very best to get rid of him and destroy anything he worked on. Hodgson, Joe Cole, Konchesky, Poulsen, Jesus wept that summer!

I think with some clubs ( chelsea ) we are close to the stage of calling managers who last a few minutes veterans of the club

Seriously though, I was discussing it the other week with some on the site about the next United manager, its going to be Mourinho imo and personally I think its sorted already but he wont stay long, 4 years tops then off to Portugal as hes said thats what he wants to do. Another job in england and manage the Portuguese national team.

You could argue it will make for better managers, learning different skill sets in different nations and clubs. Its a valid point but staying with one club long term has its benefits, you can learn everything you could ever need in order to succeed.

Well, obviously dissappointment but we have so many sports going on that by the time that was finished it was time for Monday night American Football YAAAA!!!! Should have been a slap in the face and hopefully in Scotland we come out with a purpose and a mission.

FFS one of the reasons she lists was Lee Westwood - he may have had a poor week by his standards but show some respect woman - he's one of the best players in the world.
