Think you're wrong there Alan, it's been pointed out by his colleagues that while alive he was untouchable when it came to his alleged crimes due to his charities and high up connections with royalty etc.

Just as with the Hillsborough document release its apparent now that it's possible to cover anything up in this country with the right connections no matter how high profile it is.

    Hearing this crap alot tbh.

    Positive performance.............we lost.........

Blackpool had lots of positive performances and tended to lose most of their games aswell.

    Just saying <ok>

Rather a negative performance and win.

Not at this point in time, we need to devlop our style of play and get every player understanding the tactics, so at the moment good performances are key. Playing badly and winning is something that we will need in the future of course but it's not so important at the moment.

But how long is playing well and losing going to be acceptable? I mean Arsenal are at the other end, or they were. For years they played arguably the nicest football in the league ( not the best ) and achieved nothing. They would be praised for their great football but what does that matter if it leads nowhere.

I understand with a young team things are different but, Arsenal were also a very young team, probably as young if not younger than Liverpools current squad.

It seems clear your players can do the fancy stuff rather well, it should be about teaching them the dirty side, the tough battling side of football that you need to be winners. Arsenal lacked that, United, Chelsea and City didnt.

    12 games with similar results?

    18?

38 and bottom half finish or even relegation*?

At what point do these young lads heads start to drop? "boss we are playing really well but we just cant win" At that stage ability means very little as the confidence is gone. You dont gain confidence from losing after all.

Theres also the small matter of the manager being sacked and it all being for nothing, if for example you have similar result up to xmas I dont think he will be Liverpool manager. He might be but in this day and age results matter not what may or may not happen in the future. Are your owners any different?

    * Not gonna happen obviously.

Why would I be worried. My team can play like **** and still win. Shows a winning mentality.

Just wondering the views of Liverpool fans, how long can the positive view remain.... erm.......... positive if results dont come?

Of course there is a point where losing games becomes a big problem I'm not saying different but we are 6 games in with a new manager and a very new squad, so bedding in the tactics is very important.

Have you lot ever had a bad start to a season where it all clicked in the end?

Not the start but midway through the season were Arsenal not 11-12 points off you lot and pulled you in to win their first title in 2001 (? off on dates). Hell Arsenal last year were miserable and then pulled it around. Granted we need an RvP type but who knows? When Kenny came in ( January) for Hodgson we damn near got 4th and just narrowly missed out on 5th if I remember right. Things can happen, but I do think we need more quality in the squad along with the youngsters coming through.

    97/98?

We won the title by a billion miles in 2001 I think. Was a walk over of a season. Think we won the title in July a month before the season started*

I was just asking as when Liverpool lose you rightfully look for te positives but I was wondering when the point of 'no more' comes into play.

Its a cut throat game this football lark, as some of you have already said previously, Rodgers talks the talk but hes yet to do much walking.
