He probably thought you were some oik from the tax office Were you in Parma selling a hamma to thisa programma seller ?
Some of the old programme sellers were alright, some were miserable gits. It's an odd job, as they may well used to have got a free ticket, but they often don't get to their seats until 20 mins after the game started after cashing up. One of the old boys was a fierce supporter of Ian Branfoot when pretty much every fan was against him. I remember having a row with him at an away game about Branfoot, its still a splinter that eats away at our relationship (there is no relationship)
I regard them as part of the matchday experience. I have often noted how clearly you can hear them from a distance...decided at the last match that if I was ever drowning I would yell, 'Programme, programme' rather than help
Yes, saw the link to GoMarchin's Programme, Programme thread. So, the upshot is, they probably had a review of the sales achieved, in respective areas, realised what was an effective position and what was ineffective, and had a re-shuffle. Pleased to see some/more sellers inside the stadium. I've always been a programme buyer, and have only missed the opportunity once or twice, because I was already inside the stadium and couldn't find a seller with programmes, in all the kerfuffle.

Perhaps the programme sellers have been replaced with employees...could be cheaper to pay them hourly rate than to reward as before.
Yo - now your talking CBK ! If this is you Fran then you are going to have a hell of long queue to buy programs from you !
Once we've hosed down the last couple of posters, and had Fran sectioned or sent back to Spec Savers (bless!) I'd like to return to the original question. Has anyone lost their job, or is this another case of someone half hearing something and making it into a scurrilous rumour? I only posted this because I get very little opportunity to say scurrilous. Sad, but no sadder than some other contributions we've been making lately. Can we have a football match, please?
