A young Mckenna, would be great, in the way that if he had more legs, I do like Mckenna but I don't see the point in playing Quinn out wide, and Oli has been brilliant, Koren would not be in my team due to recent performances, I wouldn't play Oli and Mckenna in the same team when playing 4-4-2.

Quinn played well on the left on Tuesday and linked well with dudgeon I thought (offensively not defensively!). I can sort of understand the dropping Koren argument but I don't think he should and I don't think he will because his pro's outweigh his cons.

I think the thing Quinn does best is find himself space and his brilliant first touch gives himself time on the ball which I think would be more effective in the middle of the park, with Oli I think would work well, also giving him more chance the be in the game and I feel when he is in the game more we are a much better team for it, he "looks a player" as the clueless Burnsy would say. I don't think he will drop Koren but in my opinion he is given a big role in the team, and if he isn't stepping up to that role and performing he doesn't deserve to be starting at the moment, but that's just my opinion.

I would agree with ^^^^ this. Steve Bruce has said its a 4 - 4 - 2 for saturday as he does not have the players to carry on with 3 - 5 - 2 thanks to all the injuries. I expect Cooper and McKenna to be ready to cover for Faye and Oli as i simply dont see either having another full 90 mins in them.

Word has it that Mckenna and Bruce had big fallout after SB comments to Burnsy after the Doncaster game. I think Steve Bruce needs to take a step back and look at his own mis-givings first.

I think you will. McKenna would have got us at least a point on tuesday IF Steve Bruce had been man enough to use him from the bench when we were 2 - 1 up.

Wednesday are equally bad defensively at the moment so it could well be a high scoring game. Thats a 0 - 0 then.

I do agree that Mckenna should have been given a run out but the way you put your point across is hilarious

I can understand if you don't like the less entertaining, more defensive type player in midfield, that makes sense in a way. But how can you then say you prefer Evans to McKenna? Everything that McKenna is bad at, so is Evans, but McKenna can pass a ball which Evans can't. It's just that they're such similar players but with a big difference in their ability on the ball. Also that kind of player might not win you a game, but that isn't our issue, Simpson, Aluko, etc. will do that. Our problem is not losing the game, and a defensive player in midfield would do that.

The ideal scenario really though would be for Oli to stop being such a massive pussy defensively and he'd be the perfect player to have in that position.

It might not be true, but if it is then McKenna is the one who needs to back up. He made a mistake and the manager will say what needs to be said about it. A senior player needs to behave better than that.

If Bruce has said he can't possibly play a back 3 any more due to the injuries, even though he's only lost Alex from Tuesday, he's essentially saying Liam Cooper isn't an option at all, and he'd rather change to a less favoured system than play him. It's been apparent for a while anyway, but still, just what is going on there?!

Mckenna should not have played in any of the games we have played since he has not been suspended as Oli has been top, you can't drop Oli at the minute when he's fit.

    1. I can't see oli changing his game now, he's old, never has been that player and now has a poorly knee to nurse which means being careful in hard challenges. He's a more creative player, just a ****ing big one.

    2. Clearly Bruce thinks coopers ****e. Always looked decent enough to me but he's a very experienced CB and manager and sees coops every day in training, so if he thinks he's ****e there must be a reason.

Or is it more because he didn't like being sent to Portsmouth?

    I'd like too see:
    Amos
    Rosenior McShane Faye Dudgeon/Dawson
    Elmo Oli Quinn Aluko
    Koren
    Simpson

Subs: Oxley McKenna Evans Proschwitz McLean Devitt Someone else.

Koren, Aluko and Quinn can interlink positions too.

Could well be, but if cooper turned round and said no I want to earn a first team place here, I think that would have impressed the messiah more than a "SIR YES SIR!"
