    Many chronically depressed and treatment-resistant patients experience immediate relief from symptoms after taking small amounts of the drug ketamine. For a decade, scientists have been trying to explain the observation first made at Yale University.

    Today, current evidence suggests that the pediatric anesthetic helps regenerate synaptic connections between brain cells damaged by stress and depression, according to a review of scientific research written by Yale School of Medicine researchers and published in the Oct. 5 issue of the journal Science.

    <yikes>

    The people I know that take loads of it don't look like their brains are getting repaired...

    It's fun from time to time, some people take it waaaaaaaaaaaay too far. I've never done more than a couple of gs in a night, some mates of mine have gone through 1/2 ozs when they're on form <yikes>

    I hate K.

    Mostly because the first few times I took it, it was involuntarily through shady sweeties.

    It's alright if you take it deliberately for a communal gouch but it really isnae my bag.

    The only folk I know that take it regularly and deliberately are these four lesbians I know :bandit:

    If done properly it's really fun, can understand if you've taken it by surprise then you wouldn't be too impressed...

    And yes, for some reason lesbians (well women in general) love it, never understood why, their brains are enough of a mess as it is.

    Took it once years ago, I was so ****ed that if someone wanted to they could have just raped me and would have had to let them.

    I didn't like feeling that vulnerable so I have never touched it since.

    Never tried it, was never offered it, only knew a handful of people who had done it but then I stopped taking narcotics in the early 90s.
