Why is it on this board you are not allowed to be realistic. Me, amongst others have been accused of being 'stupid' for expressing certain concerns about our club. I may have had several WUMMing moments, but to be called stupid because of my concerns that our club has been forced to take out a loan on the same day that work on our training ground stops is quite simply an insult. Just because somebody is realistic does not make them stupid. Anybody who isn't remotely concerned by this weeks events, or in fact how many goals we've conceded this year is probably quite stupid. Any realist can see that it is never good news if your club is forced too take out a loan, and we are conceding too many goals if we hope to remain in the Premiership. Expressing these concerns does not make me stupid, it makes me realistic.
We do not know if we were 'forced' to take out a loan. We all know **** all about it, so why worry about it?, i'm sure if we were really up **** creek we wouldn't have spent 30mil in transfers. I am neither in the negative or the positive group I just take it how it comes. I also don't jump to conclusions or fear the worse over something we know **** all about. If I did worry about everything like some of our members do I would be on pills by now. It's best to take a more relaxed approch until we are told we are in the ****. Atm we aren't and some members seem to jump on anything Saints related and turn it into another depressing rant. These people need to get a ****ing grip and realise this is only football and not your whole lifes.
At no stage have i said, or suggested we are in the ****, what i am saying is there is a reason why we would have to take out a loan, and the probable reason is that we do not have the cash reserves that some thought we did. With reagrds to the comment about spending 30 million if we were in the ****, i refer you to the case of our blue friends down the road.
I don't think so no? But then i also remember the blue few claiming that Al Fahim was going to buy half the worlds best players. Not sure if that was down too the naivety of a lot of football fans, or just the lack of intelligence down there.
Can't say if we were forced to take out a loan or not as im not ITK but taking out loans are a normal part of businesses big and small
I don't know how many times that's been pointed out now. Twice by me. Some people just hear what they want to hear.
I haven't trawled through every comment that has been writte. Either way these two events cannot be seen as good news.
Sharpshooter has a point. Don't be so protective about the club's finances. Liebherr is supposed to have a net worth over 3 billion so I don't see why we should need a loan for anything.
Right, so we've established that you've concocted this theory of yours without actually doing any research into the matter. Good to see you're on top of things there Sherlock.
I don't know where you got that number from, but it has little significance. Markus didn't invest every penny he owned into the club.
Are you that naive that you think every penny of the Liebherr's money is for Saints???? Just because our owners have 3bn it doesn't mean that NC can dip his hand into it whenever he feels like it.
Getting promoted is worth what? 70 million? 30 for players leaves about 40 more than we would have had if we stayed in the championship. If we haven't received that money yet then that maybe why we've taken out a loan. Simple maths dictate we can't be in the **** at the moment.
